Train?! Mind you, cars and London aren't really a match made in heaven, are they! I don't think I could be arsed with trains, especially this time of the year. Too cold for starters, and no enjoyable right foot action.
My bedroom was so damned cold last night, I slept in the lounge on the sofa, next to the fire! I've really got to get my boiler replaced. In fact, that will be today's mission. Other than pretending to look busy of course. Although, that's every days mission... (don't tell the boss!)

Hey, don't rub it in! Thank God for a comfy sofa and fire, in my case!
I'm in Wolverhampton, West Mids.
Edited to and also.

Indeed. But not massive amounts of miles. I have to travel to Stevenage and Christchurch quite frequently, whenever some numpty buggers up their computer... you get used to it. What brought you up to Nottingham?

I trust the cars weren't used...! No, I tend to stick with this section and Drivetrain. They keep me occupied for long enough. If I started frequenting others, I'd probably get found out and sacked! Especially if they found out I've bipassed the proxy so my web use isn't monitored...!

Beer, curry, no sleep... the perfect night out. Sounds similar to most of my Friday nights. Although I don't tend to curry as often as I used to. What's Nottingham like, night-wise? Not as good as London, I'll bet. But probably better than Wolverhampton (that's not hard). Birmingham's the best place around here.

Nottingham rocks and IMO beats London hands down. You certainly can't get a curry at 4am in London and the pubs were brilliant and so cheap (9 drinks £17 ) and only £6 to get into Rock City. Top place and would definitely go back
Think the next outing is to Wales

Blimey! Didn't realise. But I've never been to either, so can't comment really! Birmingham's not exactly cheap, but it happens to be home to one of the best clubs in the country (my unbiased opinion, of course!) - God's Kitchen @ Air. Absolutely banging place. Although since they've re-opened it, they don't seem to have been able to attract the usual DJs. Maybe they can't afford them since the refurbishment! Hopefully that'll improve in the new year. Although I don't mind having a winter break, as standing in a queue freezing your t!ts off is bit of a chore (no comments like "you should be used to the cold" please...! )

Have not queued outside a club for so many years, we got straight into Rock City
Got to say I have not been "clubbing" in years, I prefer going to pubs, all my local clubs are full of 16 year olds that get p1ssed on a lager shandy and want to fight everyone
Go to my local on a Friday night good music and about 10 steps or 5 stumbles from my flat

Managed to squeeze 3 in. Don't want to be too blurry this afternoon So what's wrong with trance? Squeaks and whistles?! I think clubbing's evolved since you went last! You have to put up with the odd glow stick here and there, but certainly no whistles/white gloves/fluoro jackets...!

Didn't know there was an age limit to clubbing! Although, granted, most of the other clubbers seem to be late teens/early 20s, making me at 28 feel a tad old, but by no means out of place. But as you say, each to their own.
My music tastes have changed big time over the years. My first memory of music was The Jam and The Style Council, which my brother was into alot. During my teens, (don't laugh) Madonna and Belinda Carlisle. Then when I started college, happy hardcore, drum & bass, jungle. Late teens/early 20s was vocal house, and trance came along at 24, with a bit of hard house/hard trance thrown in. Although I'm too old for hard house now! Don't have the energy anymore to dance to music at that speed. Plus I don't get all the stupid noises in hard house; "hoovers and horns" sums it up fairly well. But trance, I just love to bits. Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin, Ferry, to name but a few, are DJ/producing geniuses. And any chance I get to get on a podium and "strut my stuff", I'm there...

Ahh so we were into the same sort of stuff but you got lost along the way at uni.....
If you feel a tad old at 28 I would feel positively ancient
Mind you do like a dance
