Working til 5pm Xmas eve. On call the week of Christmas (Mon > Mon) so thats Christmas eve and Christmas day going to be ****e.
Work for a supplier to the telecoms industy, and in the regions I cover it ALWAYS goes pear shaped as the telecomms co's in the countries don't buy enough equipment to cover the really busy periods.

Finish 4pm Xmas Eve and off until Mon 5th Jan when I start at 1pm so not too bad really other than having to drive to parents in Cornwall on Xmas eve. Plenty of mp3's needed me thinks.

Finished Dec 18th (Thursday), back to work Monday Jan 5th.
I got a taste for a long break when I worked on a site which always closed down completely between Christmas and New Year. These days I book my Christmas break in the first couple of weeks of the year. :-)
Mind you I damn well need the break given that I spend most of my life working 150 miles from home in central London... puts a real crimp in the social life.
