Thankfully the jury returned the right verdict.

Hopefully, his life x 2 sentence, will mean life in prison, and not out in 20 - 25 years after converting to some “religion” and showing remorse.

Was waiting for the outcome on this and I guess it's as good a result as we can get, bar some twist of magic whereby the death penalty is brought back and to test things out they use this scum, and oh dear, they forget the sponge (makes sense if you have seen "The Green Mile")

I hope he does NOT commit suicide, he deserves to spend the rest of his life locked up, never to enjoy life, ever again. And if he ever does get released, well, lets hope that he meets with a fortunate accident at the hands of a mob.

But hey, bubba will ream him good and proper, and no doubt the wardens will give him a bit of a kicking, so there is a tiny, tiny amount of justice in the situation, but it'll never bring back Holly and Jessica

perhaps the '1' thought that the evidence was not sufficient to convict on a charge of murder....

I was at Rampton the day he was admitted there for tests, and allegedly all the other 'patients' thought he was a god like hero for what he did (or rather at the time allegedly did)

Hopefully in a real prison he will get what he deserves, a long slow and painful torture

sonic - did you just make that up?

Before we all get too carried away fantasising about what might happen to Huntley in prison, its probably worth mentioning that he'll probably be in solitary.....

Cool

Tiz just a pity he will serve his 2 life sentances cocurrently and not consecutively.

Never did understand the law in Britain about that, he will be out in less than 25 years. He could have been awarded 10 life sentances but he would serve all 10 at the same time so still be out in 25 years not 125 like it would have been if he was in the US.

Mice, as Wurzel alluded to, two concurrent life sentences. Not sure if there was a suggested minimum by the judge.

Carr got 3.5 years i believe.

And "life" meaning what now - 4 years? Supposedly 25 years, I guess...so will be out in what - 12?

Shame..."life" should mean just that. Bye bye lock away the key.

Andrew6321 what makes you think I made it up

I do a lot of work (or rather I did) @ Rampton, and have spent quite a lot of time at Ashworth too (not as a patient I might add)

I was told about Huntley, on the last day I worked at Rampton

He'll probably get some clever solicitor to appeal against the decision on the grounds of the media coverage ensuring he didn't get a fair trail.

agree wholeheartedly with Luke...

''dont praise these 'real men' who will make his life hard for him etc'

the majority (in prison) ARE total scum and subjet of more discussion and hatred on this forum than huntley will ever be (rightly or wrongly).

he deserves exactly what he got but hopefully he will take the esay way out and stop the taxpayer having to fund him while he rots slowly in his cell.

Carr will probably be out (electrically tagged) in 30 days.
Some people think this is too harsh.
Don't agree with them myself.

Like UB said earlier on the thread her only crime seems to have been being weak and stupid. She will be vilified for the rest of her life though, I actually feel sorry for her in a way as she is another of Huntleys victims

he missed it by miles, his offence was commited ages ago.

if all carr did was missled the police on behalf of someone she loved why should she get anymore than she has already had?

First things first, not everyone in prison, is 'scum'.

The question that needs answering is why did the **** HAVE to kill the two girls?

As for him being given a hard time in prison, get real.

He will be segragated and wrapped in cotton wool. The rest of the prison population wont even see him, never mind get close to him. He will only mix with 'beasts' of the same ilk as himself. I bet they cant wait for him to arrive so they can swop sworded tales.

What we need is more 'StrangeWays' incidents, the 'beasts' werent too safe then, were they. Shame the landings were segragated by 'anti suicide' mesh, thats all I can say.

Sordid.

By using "sworded", it infers in a roundabout way to a conversation (or "tale", to use your word) involving a weapon used to kill people, which of course is relevant to this story.

If that makes sense?

Or the stuffy dictionary definition;

1. Freudian slip -- (a slip-up that (according to Sigmund Freud) results from the operation of unconscious wishes or conflicts and can reveal unconscious processes in normal healthy individuals).

Or something!

Carr will be out in less than 6 months...

she got 3.5 half to be served on licence...

so thats 18 months inside... she,s been on remand for 12.. that leaves 6 months....

you only had to listen to her replys in court to work out the following,,

she was coached on how to address the barristers.. to appear not quite the full deck, or

she really was not the full deck.

her future isnt going to be rosy

Human rights??? What ******* human rights does he deserve???

European Court of Human Rights should get their house in order and deal with proper issues, not those of child murderers!

I believe politicians should be barred from setting the minimum sentences of prisoners.
