Standard STi7 here modded as follows:
Backward mounted 5 panel baseball cap made with foamed polyester & mesh back and plastic closure.
Easily adding another 72bhp to the overall package.

jasemac, i was gonna leave my Type R V Limited as standard, lookin at buying the STi muffler and binning the Apexi box which came with it, also got the original gear **** and stickers on order.
but as you know, sadly that may not be the case now, depending on what work needs to bo done to rebuild/strenthen the engine.

Feels like I'm in a minority of one here! MY99 pretty much as it left the factory, twin pea-shooters and everything. EBC front pads is about the only 'mod', together with the clear side repeaters and cd changer that were on it when I bought it. It may well get a Knocklink and *maybe* the bumpsteer mod done in the new year tho.

lol alwong
There is a bit more to it than that, there is a lot of useful discussion about problems with scoobs such as MAF issues, leaking boots and so that are relevant whether the car is modded or not!

peccy i have heard a rumour as to your plans..good luck..
some good replies...so percentage wise standard cars are the minority and the conclusion is that even though we all tend to do the same mods it would be too expensive for them to be supplied with the usual mods done..doubt it would make that much differance imho..and they don't fit a FMIC from the factory so we can have "that" bonnet!..lol...
i must confess love my car to bits but its crap really..
crap headlamps, needs better suspension,to slow, expensive to run, always watching where ya leave it,forever messing about changing this and that..etc etc etc..but have anything else by choice?no thanks..and my next car?yeh another subaru probably,.....is there a cure for this ...evo8 maybee??

I must be blind. I still see quite a few twin pea shooter
exhausts about on classics and bug eyes.
Don't see many new shape either.
As far as I can tell, if you are on this forum, you have a high chance of having a modded car. If not; you are ignorant to what is going on wrt exhausts, ecus, etc; the mods which give the biggest bang per buck (arguably); and will most likely not have modded the car.
