Marvellous, cheers Luke, I know what you're saying now - even if I don't quite agree with what you're saying.

It's really up to David if he wants to say anything more about the attacker, but he isn't a random stranger as has been already said.

Cheers,
Nick.

David

the quaestion about How long for murder comes up all the time... People ars sick and tired of all the courts giving out stupid sentences and getting the publics backs up. The Police want a 20 years sentence for killing an officer.. Why different from anyone else???

The Public are to blaim... It would stop happening if Everyone did something about it.

I dont know this situation... why he died and who killed him. Its not personal. Just an opinion .You asked a quaestion this is my answer..

Luke has a point here: Recently when that police officer was murdered and it was national news, with a nationwide man-hunt for the guy that did it. Hell, pictures of him were even circulated to FBI!

But here another male guy with friends (like David), family no doubt, a life ahead of him.......i.e. no different from a police officer is brutally stabbed on what is supposed to be a celebration day and it hardly raises an eyebrow. Perhaps we need to treat murder (of ANYONE) a lot more seriously?

There's a lot of bollocks here about this... People going off on one when they don't know the situation.

The guy was arrested pretty much immediately. There was no need for a man hunt, as he was caught on CCTV commiting the crime in front of about 30 witnesses. He stabbed the victim, the victim died.

People do care - it made national news. Hell, people are talking about it and getting all hot under the collar on a car BBS

Quite why this thread has gone off on one about an apathetic nation is beyond me. He will be tried and sentenced for murder, with the specifics of the case taken into account.

Cheers,
Nick.

I apologise chairk I honestly didn't mean to cause any offense

It just bugs me that such an issue is made of certain murders and yet not others Holly and Jessica and more locally (to me) the Jodi cases being prime example of MASSIVE committment to catching the criminal. It seems that H & J's case was so heavily treated because there was a) two of them b) they were children. In jodi's case it was because of the levels of mutilation (). Yet if I at aged 24 (a nice guy with a family that loves me, well educated, not a criminal, scooby driver ) got killed by a single stab wound for no apparent reason on the way home from a club there would be nowhere near the same level of committment (financial or otherwise) to finding my killer. All I'm asking is why?? It just seems wrong to me. Its sort of like to get your killer caught they have to be really brutal and make a total mess of you to 'raise attention'. Murder is murder and quite simply every effort should be made in every case to catch the killer. That was my point and I wasn't really referring to the specifics of this case as I gathered he was caught immediately, etc.

Id love to post what I know but cant really for obvious reasons..

it probably wasnt premeditated, yeah he did have a knife, but allways carrys one?.. but alcohol does play a part...

Ive been pissed to the point of unable to stand up, I've never stabbed anyone though..

Do anything to my family and friends and I would consider it, but think about this..

if you go to stab someone do you do it to hurt them or to kill them.. if your going to hurt them then just kick and punch..

I cant be arsed even trying to discuss this..

the way I see it is Life for A life..

Stuart is dead, chris is locked up.. for what 10years max.. so he would be 31.. / 32 hmm

Justice system stinks.
