Just to add.

All IMHO of course.

Theo, i dont think the whole car scene revolves around the UK, thats why i drive a JDM STi TypeRA and show a keen interest in what goes on in the USA and Japanese markets. It's probably why i can be a pain in the **** for the guys at IM and Prodrive on ocasion because i keep up to date with what goes on in other markets and push when i can for the UK buyer to get a good deal on car spec. It's looking like the Solberg could be a step in the right direction......we shall know for sure thursday.

No offence taken mate!

None of the New Age STi's are going to match the Classic STi's when it comes to Power/Weight unfortunately chris, just the way chassis design has gone with crash test requirements. The nearest you will get out of the box with a sensible spec is going to be a 17" Spec C, thats 90Kg lighter than the STi TypeUK/Solberg and then you will only have 276BHP before any tweeking with a remap and exhaust which will bring you back up to the 320BHP.

Maybe you need a completely diferent type of car edcase? or maybe even 2, one as a tracktoy and one as your road car?

John, see my previous comment about the TVR 350C.

I love my current car but there is practically nothing left standard to get it to what I want, and its cost me a total of over 30k.

I want something that is going to give me that kind of performance out of the box, with warranty, and with no insurance issues due to a spec list requiring two pages

Don't get me wrong tho, I don't regret the scoob.
