Tyre pressures make quite a bit of difference to the handling. Don't run Proxes, so can't comment, but use the search button to find out more.
Beyond that, you can transform the car's handling with a proper set-up session (and probably add some negative front camber while you're there), the bumpsteer fix and a set of solid rear anti-roll bar drop links. Get that lot done and understeer will pretty much be a thing of the past.

Always impossible to comment without getting behind the wheel, but if it's understeering as badly as you're making out, I'd suspect the tracking (at the very least) is a mile away from where it should be.

Prehaps Im expecting too much from the car, in the dry its not bad at all, but damp roads can be quite hairy
