D6Ale, i asked on eof the guys on the stand if that would be the "Solberg" edition, and he just smiled at me.. maybe he was just blagging my head, but i think the colour says a lot, because in previous posts, a few people have been on about the ice blue colour, and dark wheels... Maybe the solberg edition will be the same, albeit with "signed seats" or what not.

then again, your guess is as good as mine!

Why can't that be the "Solberg" Edition???

After all the name "Solberg Edition" was invented on her..

And don't forget, the RB5 was just a UK99 with different wheels and a fixed rear seat/buklhead shell.

(leaving aside the interior cosmetics)

D6ale,
It IS the Solberg 'special edition' as said by Diablo and a few others, the solberg name was created on here, it was not and has never been an officially sanctioned version name by subaru.

Yes, it's not that much more special than an STi 8, however, as far as I'm aware you cannot get the Ice blue color from a UK dealer.

Have to echo the comments about the RB5, in that you could also make your own RB5 with parts available from your dealer, the only things you'd not get would be the badging/plaques stuff like that.

Now, there is one thing you could not easilly from your dealer get, and that is DCCD-A, and as said by others, that DOES make this a special car as no other UK car has this yet and it's very much worth it.

Mechanically its a very good spec for an oficial UK dealer car.

It has DCCD-A, 18" Prodrive wheels made by Speedline using the flowforming technique, so very strong and light, 320BHP engine with sports cat etc, Prodrive 25mm lower suspension, Driving lights replacing the fogs.

The colour is not going to be available for any other UK car, it's one of those colours that will have you going yes/no/yes/no/yes.... looks better in the flesh than on photos IMHO although i have only seen it under artificial light.

The wheels are pewter in colour, price is £29,995.

I forgot to say the car has a 13:1 quickrack too.
