Bought an MY00 new from Europe and the week I picked it up, found Scoobynet. Met some people, drove some cars and realised I should have bought an STi RA(5/6 at the time). Mind you, the JDM insurance is crippling where I live so it may not have happened like that due to that alone.

I ordered my first scooby in 98 and waited a year for it to arrive. I found scoobynet but didn't register for about 6 months for fear of being sucked into something that would eat up all my spare time. I guess I was right.

yes, we got our MY00 totally oblivious to SIDC and SN and still had a few mods put on before we collected it from the dealer. Scoobynet just pushed us faster down the slippery slope of mods

Bought my MY 94 WRX last July found scoobynet sometime after--- dont think I went wrong paid top price £7250 from a dealer with a great rep and he lives in my village! my car is sound if I had tried to go for a STi or a RA I might have ended up with someones X-jollys and a large headache, Type R yep! very nice if you can get a really nice unabused machine then great, but I never had that sort of cash did I £7250 was as much as I had and im pleased with what I bought, the WRX is a fine Scooby

after deciding i was getting a scoob,i convinced myself i wanted a MY99 or MY00 because i was told it was easier to mod,i hadn't found SN at this time so took it all in...then i ended up buying a slightly modded MY98 uk turbo, and saved myself about £1500 compared to the others i was looking at,and now ive found SN i havent got any regrets about my purchase.

I was trolling the net for insurance quotations at the time and one of the links that I was given was the Insurance page (obviously )
Didn't even realise there was more to the site to start with...

Of course I started my posting life as someone else....

I bought a Type R, about a year later I stumbled upon Scoobynet. Realised and glad I bought the right car....but wish I found Scoobynet 1st as I must of rang every tuning company asking questions about the Type R, before I bought it.

I bought my MY00 wagon way before I discovered Scoobynet. I did all my research on the car via Jap Performance Mag and loads of test drives via my dealer who lives but 3 miles away from me. Pretty handy that!

If I had discovered Scoobynet before buying the Scoob I may never have bought one, such is the paranoia inducing knowledge that can be brought on from stories of cars blowing up, big ends going (ooer missus), fuel pumps not being up to the job, knocklinks recommended as de rigour even if you only change the interior seating of your car, remapping an absolute essential if you change the rubber bits on your pedals, etc, etc.

Ownership of the first car made me realise that things aren't all that bad in the Scooby owning world and I went for the STi7 two years later. Now that is the best car I have ever owned bar none.

I do smile sometimes when I read comments and badly received/interpreted wisdom on the STi7 from people who have never owned nor driven one. However this is a democracy and we are all entitled to our (mostly uninformed) opinions; that's life

Just off for another grin-inducing quick blast round my local "track". Ahh, bliss

I found scoobynet, (typed in SUBARU in a searh engine and it came up with scoobynet) when the wife wouldn't let me buy
another bike went out & brought a sport (yes i know b4 u start)due to insurance prices, then took scooby Adz to the Jap show, spoke with a few people there, meet a very nice man named Marv (blackscoobywrx) who told me the error of my way's and said go fourth and contact Liverpool Victoria, so i did and low and behold, they QUOTED ME HAPPY very bloody happy in fact (£502 f/c)

so sold my sport to my sis in law, went on the hunt for a turbo, meet scooby Diva who told me of someone who MIGHT be selling there scooby soon, so abused him by e-mail then txt and a few weeks later was flyin round a MY97 DGM UK Turbo with all the mods on it the wife said i better make sure it had cos i ain't spending no more money (are women all like this)

AND I HAVEN'T STOPPED SMILEING SINCEeven when i got nicked for speeding

Hello all, ive had my 97 (uk) 18 months, and pc 4 weeks so only found sn in last week or so, from the small amount of time ive spent on it i love it .As for me car i realy love that.Perhaps i should have brought one with a few after market parts on and saved meself a packet, in fact enough to buy half another one,but i supose thats half the fun.I drive my van all week and only get the scoob out most weekends, so i still get the same buzz as the day i had it.obviously if money was no object i would have a P1
