Why she done this as a cover?!?!?!?

Easy.......

Her last couple of singles have flopped, so the record company need her to have a hit with a song that people already know to keep her selling records.

Just look at Atomic Kitten, thats what they did (or rather the management/record company)did when they released that Bangles tune.

Its just a money making business....

Right ya bunch of muppets. I've dug out my original CD and the album was released in 1993. Here, I was even sad enough to scan the back cover

Next one who doesn't believe me gets a slap

I thought Sheryl Crow's album was very good at the time, but i must admit it's a bit of a dust-gatherer these days.

What amazed me, was when i saw her performing on telly about two years ago - the girl has obviously been hitting the gym in a serious way! More muscle definition that Jamie Lee Curtis or Madonna at their physical peak. Was bordering on the freaky side though to be honest - linebacker shoulders don't belong on a pretty girl!

Wink

Telboy; always with the muscles

Maybe it's just me, but I've always been "impressed" with girls with firm thighs myself. Could be the submissive side of me

I thought the first album was so-so, the second album rocked. it was her best work IMO. the third album was back to so-so again, although did have a song written for her by bob dylan. was there a 4th album?

Assuming you mean Sheryl, as Amy isn't old enough to have done 4 albums! IIRC:

First Album - Tuesday night music club
Second album - Sheryl Crow (Special edition version included 2nd disc of live tracks, semi-accoustic version of "hard to make a stand")
Third album - title escapes me, included "there goes the neighbourhood2, "anything but down" etc.
Fourth album - Cmon Cmon
Fifth album - Greatest Hits (aka time to cash in a bit more!)

I have the first four, not the greatest hits.

yes i was on about shezza. i don't know if amy studt has made any albums - maybe she has; who knows?

the first album is kinda "down home", but has some good tracks on it.
the second album is more rock n roll, which i think suits her voice, and is a good album for cranking up the volume during a good blast in the car - or at least it was until i got rid of the subaru . should have taken the stereo out really. some lucky b*astard who bought it prolly doesn't realise what he's got, unless the dealer took it out before selling.

third album seemed ok but i never got around to buying it.

haven't heard the 4th album but wasn't over impressed with the single off it.

so there you have it.

the moral of this story is that i'm getting a bit bored of driving carl's 406, and hope that i can afford to buy a decent car (with decent stereo) soon. i think i might write to ms. crow and see if she can help me out, as it is mainly her fault, after all.

4th album - a little bit more modern/pop type sound, whilst still keeping most of the rock roots. Personally, I like all 4, although the first one hasn't come out for a while.

AFAIK Amy has done one album, "False Smiles" (?), which includes all her singles except this cover version.
