forgot to say yes it was a faulty maf sensor and car should be delivered back to you on friday

Thanks for your help with this. I wonder how long the engine would have carried on? It appeared to be running like a dream... until we reset the ECU. Then you guys got involved

I'm a motor technician at a landrover main dealer working on freelanders to the new range rover,it is common practice among technicians to road test a vehicle before the job is started and also on completion of the job.

road test mileage can be 2/3 miles and possibly more depending on the nature of the repair or service

I just had a 40k service on my wrx 01 and it was at haddocks subaru garage at colchester and it was £169.46 and they replaced a faulty airflow meter under the warrenty

I know my car inside and out, I'm one of those sad bas!!rds that spends hours polishing it every day

I know for a fact that marks weren't on the car when I dropped it off. I concede that it's possible the wheel was marked on way home but it doesn't look like a stone chip.

No wonder dealers have such a bad name if they all adopt an attitute like yours
