Going slightly off topic here and back a good few years, but does anyone remember when the Sun newspaper sent out people to translate the characters in chinese restaurant signs ? They found loads that bore no connection to the restaurant / takeaway trade.

In fact they found one that shop sign whose chinese characters translated as something like 'finished second in the accountancy exams'

The couple who couldn't sell their house because the name of the road had been changed to "Butthole road". I kid you not.
