why bother buying a VTS when you can buy another 1.6 16v PLUS VTEC, such as a crx?both are N/A but one has the addition of the vtec system and is cheaper? My bro used to own a few gt turbos, what a machine, pretty much kill ANY hatch old or new-if you want a fast, top fun machine get one before they spiral into the unaffordable range!

True, a vtec CRX would be a very good chioce as well and is faster in a straight line than a vts (I suspect slower through the bends). But, as before this would be a much older car

What about a 306 xsi.
I will have a June 99 car for sale soo its the 2000 model, which looks pretty much like the gti-6, same wheels lights spoliers skirts ect.
Standard 137bhp unit from the 206 gti as opposed to the 125unit from the older xsi's.
61k miles half, leather, auto aircon, 3 door China Blue metalic.
will be going on at about 4 - 4.5k so you have some money for tuning ect.
has a new origanal pug exhaust (cat back) fitted in October, and new feredo ds discs and feredo pads all round fitted in december.
full pug history, wouldnt be selling but got a company car on order to replace this with.

Ive had my VTS for almost 3 years now, I have done numerous track days in it since it was run in and it always gets driven hard.
Apart from numerous sets of tyres and brakes (surprise surprise!! ) the only problem I have had is having to replace the alternator which was under warranty.
It's pretty good on fuel consumption too. Like SB says, they are easily steerable on the throttle and go sideways easily if you want them to. Lots of tuning and styling mods if thats your bag. Great fun!
I had a VTR before this car but performance wise it just didnt cut it, I exchanged for the VTS and was hugely impressed with the difference.

Ok maybe its time to think outside the box from some people..
Fun you want? kitcar evey time.
Cheep as chips to run, ensure and buy.
I`tll put a smile on your face more than any so called hot hatch, and will give you serious performance for n cash.
And with the money you saved from buying all the over weight stuff other mentioned, get a cheep run-around fro the dull stuff like driving to work or shopping.
Its hard not following the crowd..... but the rewards are there for those prepaid to emancipate.

Crx some 1 said good choice
At the combe last year a crx was first out in a mixed group scooby, civic r,r33 gtst and others and it kicked ****.
while the others battled it out it just ploughed thru the turns.
and in hi octane 1 it does the same again.
Vtec is a must
