Fair enough Simon, it's your BBS

Yeah fair comments, but one of the main issues isn't the adverts themselves, it's the fact simon directly accussed genuine scoobynetters of stealing from him, which is quite frankly absurd and completely out of order and has pissed off quite a few people!
What you going on about?

Of course blocking the adverts is a tenuous subject!
Whats the point of the extra programming, extra faffing about and annoying the majority if the impact of coverage is lessened by a mass installation of software to get rid.
I'd hardly say it was something worth leaving the site over. The choice is there - sign up or shut up!

its up to the individual, needless to say countless will block the ads by some means, others wont care and will leave alone and those who wish to shell out £25 will have the option.
basically its a way of making money, this could be argued as good ie the money can be reinvested in Scoobynett for a photo loader(or whatever) however if its just put in the relevant pocket then its just for individual gain - but then if you were in their shoes youd probably do the same right?
personally I dont really care about it, theres enough advertising all over the site anyway
people fear change, its a human instinct, feathers are ruffled easily

LOL at one stage in the "Ad blocking is vile and people who do it are scum, akin to leeches stuck on the cash cow that is Scoobynet" debate,
one of the Google Ads was for Ad blocking software
Made me giggle anyway

My "corporate" firewall already blocks ads served by Google so I guess I'm therefore implicitly a thief.
