Cool

Hi my friends
Thanks if you try to encourage me, but the result is the same, piston slap!
I think after the tap, tap, tap - I have no piston slap - just a broken knuckle - !)
I can't sleep - 29 degrees at night!
Cheers Jim

Jim, Bloody awfull this heat. Today I got an airco unit installed. I'll sleep like a log tonight, Here's goodbye to hot days and nights.

Haven't and don't plan to drive scooby till the weather cools down. 40 deg today and they said it will be cooler tomorrow. By the way they report the weather, you'd think it would drop 10deg, only to find out it's dropping 1 deg to 39 Celsius tomorrow.

Did you find out if you have slap m8?

WREXY.

Hi WREXY
I have no piston slap in my car! I decided it to have a clear conscience...
I had a good blast with my scooby last night, and forgot everything!
I am going now to order the knocklink sensor (I am not sure where from), a dual SPA turbo boost-temperature gauge (digital) from Scoobymania, and thus I think that can control partially the exhaust gas temperature (because of the increase in turbo temp also).
I plan to change my oils (with Castrol RS 10-60 as you suggest me) and the oil-filter of course before the next weekend.
Ok, I am happy what else can I do, I can't change my destiny !
Cheers Jim

Just to meet you and Stelios my friend, because only the trip costs to me more than 40.000 drachmas!
And the result will be the same - no piston slap.
Anyway I would like to meet you and have a conversation (or/and a coffee, why not)...
Cheers Jim

Hi Karl,

Mine will be back in for the next service soon (cam belt one) and should get the dodgy solenoid replaced... will be able to tell you what it sounds like after that!

Simon.
