how would you disable the a.b.s for this kind of weather apart from driving under 10mph as it doesn't work this slow of course or driving in reverse as stopping distances are stupid something!!

Well, the best way is to drive a car that doesn't have ABS in the first place.

If you can't manage that, the method with the fuses is detailed above.

Have to agree with Vindaloo, the 2CV is wicked in the snow, when I use to drive to London every day we bought one and we had conditions like we have now and the 2CV when through no problem
Cheers

My old 205XS was ace in the snow. Far better than my MY00 on new F1s was last night. Would get going nearly as well and much easier to get stopped.

72 spitfire 155 tyres, rwd, just a rear ant-roll bar to hold the rear wheels in the same plane- no transverse leaf spring "tucking up" moments. oh and Advanced Braking System - what brakes?

quiz: where was abs 1st deployed?

Neither is an 92' Subaru Justy 1.2> it is a fun car to drive either in 2wb or 4wd! as it has small 13" wheels (fairly skinny) and not much power, but is very light. this sort of help in the show!
