What made you choose an Impreza....

My brother bought a WRX and let me have a go. good god he paid £6000 for it. Not just the speed "and they go a bit" but the grip it feels like they will do anything you ask and a bit more.
No need to say i was jealous to death , and didn't rest till i got one a WRX STI. The noise thud thud thud wwhhhooosssshhhhhh speed and handling cool.

My brother bought a scoob a couple of months before me. I went to look at one as I have always had a yearning to own one. Once the test drive was over I asked if I could sign the paperwork...simple as that. It was simply driving one that swing it for me.

I got mine becuase i like the looks and thaught it would be fast and handle well. THe handling is good but even with a De cat and ECU it still feels a bit slow. The top speed is ok 155 before I decided it wad quick enough but the acceleration is not that great sometimes and to be honest the clutch does not like fast starts.
Was about to advertise it for sale but the sound keeps me hooked and can't think of a faster car that has a low profile. ( I feel like a muppet when I drive through towns and built up areas)
MIght try an EVO but I could only afford a four and don't know how much quicker it could be so might have to sell it and look for a cheap RA

Went looking for a car back in '97, didn't find anything very inspiring until I wandered into the local Scooby dealership. Had a test drive, bought a 2.0 Sport 'cos it drove & handled far better than others in it's class (couldn't afford the Turbo - sob). Loved & cared for it 'til replaced with an STi last summer. The financial shock only lasted for a few days - replaced by a daft grin.
Performance & grins per pound are unbeatable. Oh, and just case the missus reads this - it's also a practical family saloon for ferrying kids & shopping around.

I had a Carlos Sainz Celice GT4 that needed changing, and I wanted something just as good or better. Had no idea what to get - thought the Impreza (in 1997) was way too dull to look at.
A mate took me out for a drive in his Prodrive car (was it N555REP ?) - proper 12 change of underwear job. I placed an order the next day. Not only did I get a new one (which I swore I'd never do), but I chucked £5k worth of Prodrive extras on it too !
Still got it, now at 103,000 miles, still going strong, never looked back.
