Yep you need to drill the front wheel arch to fit Two self tappers.

so do you put some paint on the wheel arch holes after drilling to stop against rust?

reletivly easy 2 fit, just get some seal over the holes, this will do the trick...

Don't forget to tape the nuts to the wing on the fronts...

SCott add this to the instructions, it would make it better... I cross threaded one of the plastic nuts... ooh my god, was attacking the nut with huge bolt crops!

Tape the nuts in place... no problems...

Good kit team...

eay to fit 1hr max.. if you use tape...

Worth the $$$ my doors were getting F000kt

Dazza

PS,Scotts a nice guy, give him a call if you get stuck...

I just fitted the same to mine. Thanks for the tape tip, it helped a lot! Was tricky and took a while (im in IT, dont do mechanic stuff ) but the result is neat.

Question, in low light they match, but in daylight the flaps are slightly a different colour, a little green in them. This normal? Ill post pics later in the week.

Soz, forgot to post pic of the flap as I said...
You can see the pitting on the door and wing before I fitted the flaps...

Pic 2 is just to get an idea on thickness... (flaps that is)

And the 3rd i was pushing the flap hard, they do flex but are quite firm...

I'll be rubbing some baby oil into them l8er tonght, just to loosen them up

exellent pics of the flaps Dazza sti,by looking at the pics it seems you only need to drill into the black arch liner in the front wheels and put self tapers in.

I'm a little worried about drilling into the metal of the wing as it seeems the method of fitment and the fear of rust settling in.

please advice that i am wrong!!

No m8... no drilling of the wing at all... the holes are already in, just tack out the plastic plugs and use the clips...

Dazza

Looks well nice now... just the lowering to do then will be vvvvvvv-happy.

Just noticed the white pitting on the top pics looks worse than it is,,, just gone back outside and had a look... I think the flash makes it stand out more...

Yeh, you do need to drill a hole in the metal of the front wheel arch and screw in a self tapper.
Just seal it with underseal.

It seems that there is conflicting opinions here,I'm getting more confused than before!!

Anyone else has the flaps fitted to their cars and which method was used.

Going to ring the Scott lowe to find out for sure.

I drilled, only way to secure them fully.

Question, in low light they match, but in daylight the flaps are slightly a different colour, a little green in them. This normal?
Still needs answering please

i managed to get myself a set of prodrive mudflaps in black to match my blue/black mica sti................... look amazing.....

a good tip for the clips to stop them falling down the back is use a BLOB of silicone on the clip then they will stay in place also remove the side cill completely for better access..

also these ones didnt need any additional holes putting in but had a stainless steel insert to bolt between the flaps and the car

hawk

ps theyre made by the company that supplies the rally team ( nudge nudge wink wink say no more)

edited again to say ive been and measured the thickness of these and they are 5-6mm thick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
