Well just to throw a spanner in the works, how about having the headlight in there but the lens glass and reflective backing/bulb removed

One of the 205 boys has this setup for events.

In reality it probably wont make any difference to power etc, but my engine bay is so cramped, the more cold air in there to cool things down the better, espeically as its running rough at the moment with oil burning.

one point for competitors, and anyone thinking of attending:
we will be putting up the signing on/indemnity form next week on the website, which should be printed off and filled in ready for you to hand in on the day. this will save you all queuing on the morning to regsiter. you will be checked off on the gates by name and reg numbers on the competitor list, then hand the form in, attend a briefing and you are ready to run.

anyone who hasnt pre paid in advance by next weeks cut off date will have to queue on the morning for a signing on form, along with any other rwyb entrants.

Peccy,

Can you contact Ian @ Godspeed please regarding him taking a trade stand at Scooby Shootout. He says he's been trying to contact the organisers all week without any luck.

my problem is scooby shootout is good but roto stock is a better buisness bet than SSO.. as its a major event and all the big boys are there.. and yes i have paid up..so io will be £40 down but the oppertunity is much better and thats the way i need think..

thanks Chris

p.s i only got the invite this morning and we will have 2 cars on the JP stand..

offer too good to refuse....c

Come along & give it a try

You won't kill your clutch if you launch sympathetically

8am
there will be a lane for pre paid competitor cars to file through and one for spectators and rwyb cars at the gate. pre paid competitors will then get a sticker for the windscreen to allow you in pitlane, everyone else will be shown to general parking.
anyone signing on as rwyb needs to come over and sign on, get a sticker etc and then come into pitlane area.
all drivers will need to have signed on for 10am and get the car scrutineered, and have attended the driver briefing at approx 10am.

no one races without a helmet!
see you there

It's normally just a tyre check Richard. Plus document check at the signing on.

Please?

See you Monday

it is a basic safety check thats all, seatbelts, battery, and check for tyres and road tax, a couple of people have contacted me about their road tax situation! lol
no extra work has to be done if the car is in a normal safe road state.

we will have to issue stickers to any non race support cars wanting access to pitlane, as space will be at a premium in pitlane, so come and see me or one of the crew early on, a few limited cars on the grass behing the race cars wont be a problem but we arent allowing anyone else to park there.

Errr, can somebody explain what your meant to put on the print out-able form for registration - in each box / space????

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that it's not self explanatory.
