Guys
Sincere apologies for the downtime over the last few days. Please bear with us on the speed. We've made huge ground, and are genuinely working continuously on improving it further.
All the best

I have Scoobynet set as my homepage. For the past, what seems like 24 hours but certainly since yesterday afternoon and up to right now, when I try to access S/N via www.scoobynet.co.uk I get a Griffin page that says "This site is possibly temporarily under DNS maintenance"
The only way I managed to find my way in was by clicking on the link from an e-mailed thread notification that just arrived.
I still can't get in using www.s/n...etc and I'm not the only one.
Thought you'd like to know.

Hi All
We've made some changes which should see an improvement in speed. Could you please let us know if you found it slow before (up to 10:30 this morning) whether it is faster now?
All the best

Thanks Stu and ST AYE
There is no doubt, the site is blisteringly quick now. I think we're about there (fingers crossed).
In about an hour, the traffic will increase substantially (as it does every lunch time! ) so we'll see how we go then.
Once we're happy that the speed is good, we'll move on to the other things that have been put back.

Actually,
Ive just come back here after picking up my notification mail, and after a quick mooch round can confirm its faster now than it was when i first replied, so the cache seems to be building up nicely
(Yes, i have browsed other non visited pages too, before some geek takes a pot shot at my *** )

Hi Stuart / Houghton
You could try this for a start...
Start > Run > Type cmd and OK.
In the DOS prompt type...
ipconfig /flushdns
----
other than that, it will be a case of waiting for your ISP to resolve the DNS information correctly.
If it is still the same this afternoon, please let me know your ISP, and which pages you get the error on.
All the best

Hi Simon,
Did as you suggest with affirmative response but still get the same Griffin page.
It's possible that others, in the same situation, are unable to access Scoobynet. I was only made aware that the site was operational and able to gain access, because of e-mail notification to certain threads, otherwise I may well still be sitting, wondering what's happened and why the site's down for so long.
I've now changed my home page to http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk and access the site that way. Perhaps a bulk mailing would help.
