on the classic.......
14k for the car (uk97 4 years ago tho)
first few mods were zorst, spoiler & 3piece split rims etc... £3500 ish
decided on brakes next, high spec monster 4 kit, £800 IIRC
then came 2 uk gearboxes...... around £600 each fitted.......so£1200
then a P1 gearbox £1500
erm the UK engine let go....... so in went a P1 engine, dash, loom, ecu
engine/loom/ecu £3k, dash £300, HKS front mount while working on it.. £900 (gb)
then decided enough was enough so sold it........ missed it so got the spec'c' after the TVR,

Too much and I'm not even done yet.
Started adding it up on what is on the car, then realised there is stuff in the hallway and in cupbords that isn't on the car yet, scared myself and stopped.
Gulp............

Wheels direct from subaru dealer, £515
Tyres, eagle F1's, £400
Bailey Dump Valve from Virgin, for a fantastic £46
Full magnex system from turbo back £? (still to get bill)
Due its 60K service £? (bro is a subaru mechanic so shouldnt be too bad)
Looking for advice on induction kit and boost controller.

You want to know the worst bit? It started out as a standard brand new WRX and cost me nearly £35,000 in the first place! An Sti would have been almost double. They don't even bother importing STIs officially because there's no market. There's no point in spending that sort of wedge on one.
Thailand - it's got a heck of a lot going for it, but car prices isn't one of them. (It's apparently the most expensive country in the world now to buy cars).
The upside is that it's a lot cheaper to mod your car here beacuse labour costs are practically nowt.

In the last twelve months I've spent over 8k on bits & pieces, still some to go.
Need a new ash tray, original stinks of some Jap s-#it. Plus decent door mirrors mine are scratched, these may break the bank.....

About £1200 in 6 months (Just had 52k service and BB fitted today)
I have promised to stop now though as I NEED to get on the property ladder.
Oh I could live at home till I'm 50 and have a fantastic car (or 2!)
