clare short on the goverment spying
#62
LostBoy,
Your last post has absolutely no discernable argument. It is just a statement of facts, none of which justify the act of spying on one's allies having been part of an agreement not to do so. If it was not such an underhand act, then why is the Government avoiding answering the various questions that have been put to them? Why not just admit it if that is what was going on if it is so unimportant as you say?
None of your attempts at insulting me carry any weight whatsoever. You have obviously run out of things to say in defence of your own line. Trying to denigrate my character only weakens what you have to say anyway, and shows a lack of knowledge on your part.
The one indisputable fact is that carrying out such actions with respect to an ally especially when you have entered an agreement not to is an absolute betrayal and is unforgivable. I just happen to believe that there should be honour and truth in dealing with friends and to carry out any form of double dealing will cause the total loss of any trust and that is something which is very difficult to re-establish.
If you think it is alright to go through life in such a "slippery" manner, then you are revealing your true character to us all and it is not pleasant to see. I stand by my previous comments and still say that in Life, honesty has always been the best and most rewarding policy. It does not make it right if others choose to behave in such an untrustworthy manner.
