Nope, I have 225/45 R 17 fitted to the standard STi wheels.. I can't get any smaller wheels to fit over the front brake calipers. I will get some 18" wheels and fit new Summer tyres to them come Spring!

The 10mph thing on ABS is only the speed the you have to be driving before ABS system will be activated. If you're doing less than 10mph when you brake, the ABS won't trigger. Once you've exceeded 10mph, the system won't de-activate until you stop. If ABS triggers, then it will keep pumping the brakes until the wheel can brake without locking up, if the wheel keeps locking, then it will keep pumping to 0mph. This is the case on ice, snow, water or dry tarmac. On snow/ice, summer tyres will never provide enough traction to allow the wheel to brake without locking, so the ABS triggers all the way to 0mph. On winter tyres, the tyre will generally allow enough traction to allow the ABS to stop triggering and allow the wheel to brake normally.
