the tmic at 100mph doesnt get enough air through it,ive got at charge temp guage on mine m8 and all is well at 80/90 but when u go over this you should see the temp go up thats why alot of engines go bang at 100mhp+
yes tmic are good for 340bhp and so on, its the temp you have to think about at 125mph my charge temp was reading 60/65 degrees, then i slowed down to 70/80 and it can down to a nice 15/20 degrees
they have front entry inlet manifold so the pipes are alot shorter and they dont go over that dam turbo lol
money well if harvey is running 1 its 585bhp ish(dam swine lol)
you could say why dont wrc cars have tmic and thay only run 300bhp

Why do the WRC cars not use carbon pipes?

I hope your doing those 125mph+ speeds on the track. However not everybody does track days and so these speeds should not be a problem. As you say your temps are very good at 70/80... so for a road car at 300bhp the FMIC would not be of great benefit . Remember that a charge temp of 40degC is considered a good temp to aim for.
Deferent story for 350bhp... i'd say FMIC is a definate.
As for the WRC cars not using carbon pipes i think you'll find it's for a different reason than having a reversed inlet manifold.
Harvey is running his Hybrid on his early wagon, not the STi 6.. this has an APS.
Tony.

Hijacking Threads
just my 2p for what its worth peeps. while there may be cheaper, more cost effective options out there (and i know of one cheaper than the hybrid), i think it a little unfair to hijack a thread in order to gain or tempt away potential buyers.
simply start a thread of your own and leave this one well alone. people will make their own enquiries and decide for themselves what product they want and how much they are prepared to pay. my FMIC is a 2nd hand APS from a trusted source, which I chose over a much cheaper US alternative (which may actually be a decent buy). but i know the APS is a quality piece of kit and the hours that went into testing and honing are reflected in the cost.
it sounds as though Simon's supplier has thought through the application of an FMIC in much detail in order to put together a quality and beneficial package and save any potential customers too much hassle or headache over which to buy. this for me demonstrates a commitment to customer service and being UK based, you know any issues (should there be any) are much easier to resolve.
this just might be something worth considering when thinking about saving a couple of hundred quid versus any potential issues or heartache when importing products. that said, exhange rates are good and all options have to be considered of course, but the main point is... let this thread run its course naturally rather than infringe on the efforts others to lessen your own.
