Shame my trip to work doesn't involve the autobahn, just 10 miles of tree lined empty winding B roads ovor rolling hills ()

It is a good job my trip to work doesn't involve the autobahn as I would probably never get there
The trip to Smagons is always good for a laught though, Unlimited autobahns then all those lovely country roads
I think hooning is an understatement, there is nothing quite like the feeling of pulling away, overtaking or ragging it past a police car on the autobahn without a care in the world.

Wurzel, I hate you.
Benno, mine was an unmarked Volvo saloon (s70 - i think although i'm sure someone will correct me if no such thing exists - i'm not very up on Volvo's)
It was also being driven by a women which was the final nail in my 'false sense of security' coffin!! (normally only looking out for vauxhaull senators driven by blokes)

Continent is great for fast driving! I once did 135mph (on the cruise control) all the way from Rotterdam to Calais in a Merc C-Class hire car. One hour to get to Brussels, and and hour and a half to get to Calais.
- It was only when I got home, that I discovered the Belgian Police would have confiscated the car if they had caught me at those speeds .....

if you know anyone in ireland you can go over there and take the irish driving test and hey presto you have another licence.... not that I condone this idea but i know a few people who have done this.... also you can drive over here on a us licence but not sure about the legality because of insurance etc...

if your banned... then YOUR banned... it's YOU thats banned weather you have a licence from another country or not... YOU are banned from driving a car on a road in the UK.
Having a licence from another country has nothing to do with it! YOU are the one thats banned, so unless you transform into someone else you aint drivin!
Watch out !!!!!!!!!
Also... when your ban runs out make sure you get your licence back...! And or send for a new one!
I nearly cocked up and I've heard a few people being done for driving with no licence... in the same way... after they got back on the road.
it got to a week before i could drive, and was expecting my licence back in the post... I called DVLA just to check, and guess what... I didn't have a licence! I had to re-apply! sometimes the guy " he was spot on actually" was saying they even just send your old one back, but that dosn't mean you have a Licence!!!!! its down to you to check!!!!!!
This sounds stupid but its true! You must re-apply for the Licence, if you don't technicaly you dont have one! even though you have your old one!
My Licence now starts from 19-04-00 even though I've been driving 20 years...
The guy told me someone had an accident and when the Police checked he technicaly hadn't had a licence for 3 years! Then got banned again for driving without a licence! how cruel is that!
if you've been banned MAKE SURE you check you are ok... as the guy told me ITS DOWN TO YOU... I was stunned and had to wait an extra 5 days to get mine in the post, becouse i didn't call untill 1 week before! and that was with asking for fast clearance!
