Without wishing to start a slanging match Rasher, what about it? This thread's about the WR1, not "miscellaneous Japanese market cars and the WR1".
If you're going to introduce them into the mix, you'd have even more right to say "What about the MY03 or MY04 Spec C?", which are betters car again than the S202, the same physical design as the WR1 and can also be bought for less...
As for S202's changing hands for £40K, if they ever did, that's more a sign of transient market silliness than the car's true value. As you say, they ain't worth anywhere near that much now.

fair comment, it was just that the thread was entitled WR 1 is the daddy, but there are other cars that should be thought of before you can justify this claim, that was all I was trying to get over as The 22B was mentioned , nothing about that in the title either

Erm, no. This thread is entitled "Impreza WR1?". There's another thread in General called "So, the P1 is still the Daddy". Did you get the two mixed up?

I think micronet were in which magazine last issue on the back page, with somone complaning about late delivery of a vw golf and getting the run around. Which helped him get his money back,
the company made a statement bsically saying he had fallen through the cracks and it was a very rare occurrence.

Thats what I was thinking - is it a "too good to be true" price, considering dealers dont seem to want to budge. However, it is in line with a 9-10% discount a fleet buyer might get across the whole range.

somebody sort it i reckon.
I`ll order one now at that price!!
Dealers should match the price.
That is the sort of price it should be anyway
