Well it was more then just the sticker, the F + F Wing put me off too.

I was only interested after the way it was described - i hadn't even seen a PIC of it!!!!!!!!!

When i got a pic, i decided not to go and look as i wasn't interested.

Then i got all sorts of threats over e-mail about how i "don't know who i'm dealing with" etc, i couldn't believe what i was reading!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the pics of the Scoob in question & i'm not surprised Nick didnt buy it!

Flat Four Impreza has a bee in his bonnet because someone didnt buy his car? boo hoo, poor bloke lmfao!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!

As always be VERY careful about buying a car over the internet!

Through personal dealings with this person, IMHO he is a bullsh#tter.

Also had e-mails from other people dissatisfied with items they had bought from this person.
Proof please if thats the case? - can't expect to rip it out of someone & not provide evidence...

Car does look good from the pics, so did the one I bought from him!

I had 2 min test drive, had travelled 300 miles to buy the car, later read on another site he knew about all the problems, we only discovered them when we got it home.
How on earth can you blame the buyer for that even if that was the case??? it's up to you to check the car & make sure you are happy with it? You must be on drugs if you think the seller is trying to do that? remember he's trying to SELL the car..

You didnt have to buy it at the end of the day!

Just don't want anybody else to suffer like we have, still forking out loads for the car 6 weeks later and still not sorted!!

Doesn't it sound strange that he is selling it after only 6 weeks? He told me his dad was lending him money towards his next car.
Not really! I sold a car 3 weeks after buying it once due to unforseen circumstances - whats so strange about that?

This guy is a 21 year old with an M3 EVO who lives with mummy and daddy!

All I am saying is if you are interested in the car, take a mechanic with you and get it fully checked before you spend any money, don't f#ck up like we did!!

I put it down to ill health at the time! (that's my excuse)
Ah, the pangs of jealousy? so what if he's 21 with an M3 Evo & lives with his parents??? what on earth has that got to do with the sale?

Take a mechanic? what like YOU should have done in the first place, like any sensible person who is buying a car they dont know much about should do. Ever heard the phrase practice what you preach?

Put it down to health? or stupidity?

At the end of the day if you have a problem with a 12 year old car (I would expect a fair few due to it's age) then you shouldnt have bought the thing!

Jesus - Scoobynet excels again

Well said C, theres far too many people jealous of a young lad owning such a car, so what if he lives with his parents and has an M3, im pretty sure most of us would have it that way if it was possible so just give the guy a break.Ive owned a scooby and i still live at home with my parents but i still had to go all the way to the big boys bank and sort a big scary loan out in order to finance it.And i pay my way at home so if people can organise their finances well enough, why not have a nice car! Ive had all the **** such as 'what cars daddy buying you next?' and it just makes me laugh because i know how hard i work to pay for my motors. Anyway like i said im sure we would all love it if our parents bought everything for us, so all i can say is good on yer mate if thats the case.
As for the 2minute test drive, lmfao, are you for real?

Silverwagon..... i had to get a loan too mate!!!

I got one for £7k at 17, paid that off now and used the £6k i got for my last car to go towards the M3, but i got another loan for the rest of the money.....

But basically i'm just considering changing it for something that may cost me a little less on the repayments each month or something that's all.

I get the whole "What's Daddy buying you next" bollox all the time and it's just not true - i've paid for everything i own myself, and i pay a fair amount in rent!

Erm blimey.

Ive been talking to Nick in great length on this car and it is a beauty. He has not pressured me into buying it at all and been very friendly all the way supplying all the info I have requested.

Sound guy.

And if you have a problem with a 21 year old owning a M3 Evo WHY!?!?!?

Im 19 years old, worked my **** off, got my own company and 4 cars. Type R Coupe Modded, WRX, SLK and a Range Rover.

Your point is?

Best of luck with the sale Nick. Its a beauty and shame we couldnt come to a deal. Lovely motor though!

I too have spoken with Nick via email etc, and as CustomScoobyIOM stated he has never been pushy, or being anything but helpful.

Unfortunately the sale of my car has fallen through so I wish him luck in selling the M3. I for one am very dissappointed that I won't be able to buy it, or at least go and look at it with a view to buy it!!

OK. Lets get a few things straight and correct shall we.
Firstly. What he FORGOT to point out is that the spoiler was put on for the Fast and Furious show last year. It was just the pictures before i left for attendance. I pointed out that the original spoiler, boot and stickers are easily removed and it shall be the case when we meet.
This was arranged.
We arranged a time and place to meet as he had NO interest in his GTI-R. (I can put e-mails here if needed). The day before he let me down (After getting 20 or so e-mails the previous week). Reason: He has had interest from someone else who are seeing the car at the weekend. (Our meet was on Friday) a 40 year old apparently. Fair enough, you say, but all the aggroo in the process over the previous week, wanting pictures, spec, phone calls etc not only cost me money, but also my time was wasted. Bit like it is now really.
I would suggest, like i have said on Nick`s previous thread, that do not judge a book by its cover.
Who cant remove a sticker? Who doesnt believe a seller that the spoiler is easily removed and the original will be on the car at the meet?
Nick i see as well as a few other people.
I have been 19 as well as 21 and i know the score.
Score is "STOP WASTING PEOPLE`S TIME AND MONEY BEFORE YOU MEET THE WRONG PERSON"
I am not here to take the pi55 out of peoples cars, where they live, how old they are. I am here to warn folk about folk like Nick.
I am a geniune guy that warns others.
Pitty there are so many pi55 takers out there really. Hey ho. Life goes on.

Never seen a car with stickers then?
Can you not remove a spoiler either?
Obviously you have never seen a scoob with Eibachs and Bilstiens, SS Wishbones, BSM, Whiteline ARB`s etc etc then either?
You sure you have a car at all?
Cheers Chris

Fair enough - he had to sell his car by the sounds of things before he could commit to yours, 99% of people buying a car are in that sort of position funnily enough I would imagine

Fair enough, you say, but all the aggroo in the process over the previous week, wanting pictures, spec, phone calls etc not only cost me money, but also my time was wasted. Bit like it is now really.
How rude! you mean he actually WANTED to see pictures & the spec of your car when he was considering buying. Now that I don't agree with! thats just unreasonable do't you think?

Ok please can you list all the other people you e-mailed, sent unreasonable spec lists, picture's & called as they must all be evil & avoided at all costs

Never seen a car with stickers then?
One or two, yes - thats what the members gallery is for I believe?

Can you not remove a spoiler either?
Probably yes, but leaving some nasty holes & marks where it was is hardly ideal is it?

Obviously you have never seen a scoob with Eibachs and Bilstiens, SS Wishbones, BSM, Whiteline ARB`s etc etc then either?
No, you are right - I have never seen a Scoob with all of those suspension bits on, I have seen some with various combinations of those bits though?

You sure you have a car at all?
Nope i don't have a car, I have 3 thanks

Welcome to the Nickg123 fan club!!

Jealous of what?? Not being 21 anymore? or not living with parents?...... Got my own house, P1 in garage, wife and 2 kids, what have I got to be jealous of? An M3???

Flat Four...no haven't got cossie but I have got a GTIR with one knackered rear shock, 2 leaking front brake calipers, knocking rear drive shafts when cornering, vibration and knocking from prop or transfer box? Can't change gear at high revs, especially 3rd, boost halves after 20 mins of driving, I think MAF problem as it goes into limp home mode when you put your foot down. Speedo doesn't work even tho changed speed sensor, speedo and converter. Oh and that paint!! Need to go to Specsavers!

I couldn't spot these things, I didn't drive it, he drove it 2 mins down road, I knew about speedo as he said it had gone the DAY BEFORE, that's why I brought it back on a trailer. As wife is in legal profession and didn't want me to get pulled. Got in touch with him after I'd driven it asking if he knew what knocking was from the prop, he said it didn't do it yesterday when I was in car on test drive! So went on gtir.com to find out what it could be.... and saw Nickg123's posts where he had known every fault with the car, plus a load more.

The speedo had gone in August, not the day before (in January) but that's the least of my problems, the car will get you to corner shop and maybe back but if you want to go on a half hour journey it will be quicker to walk.

Yea I know it is sold as seen and I know we could take him to court over false advertising etc, but we've done this before with a Lotus we had. It cost us a fortune and we only got a small percentage of what the car was worth. It caused months of stress, don't want to go through that again.

I'm just saying he lied to us and we can prove it by the posts on GTIR.

Any way I'm no good at this buying a car sh#t, 15 years of driving, should have learnt by now. The car I had before this was just as bad, spent a fortune fixing it then sold it for a couple of grand less. I'll probably do the same with this one.

As for proof that people have had dodgy dealing with him before, we got personal mail on GTIR from people, someone mailed me about being ripped off over some alloys which were knackered! I can't remember now but the wife says he eventually got his money back after loads of hassle.(I'm not sure about that)

This was one person, don't want to start naming people, Nick knows who they are!

ALL WE WERE SAYING WAS TO BEWARE WHEN BUYING ANYTHING OVER THE INTERNET, AS WE HAVE FOUND OUT TO OUR COST. I'M SURE WE'RE NOT THE ONLY ONES TO F##K UP!

Anyway Nick, I'll go and "get a life" now, as long as it's nothing like yours. I'll call it quits now, we will get the car fixed, carry on like this and you WILL end up one day in the small claims court with someone.

Good luck with the sale, PMSL

I know we could take him to court over false advertising
Not over a private sale you can't, unfortunately

Ultimately (whether right or wrong) it's up to you whether to buy the car or not, and no offence, but you were just a "little" foolish to buy a car as complex as a GTiR without driving it and just being passenger for 2 mins.

If something had gone wrong the day before, you should've got him to sort it.

Did you actually do a receipt saying sold as seen etc?

Whatevers happened mechanically, theres no excuse for missing dodgy paintwork - get to Specsavers and at least you won't make that mistake again (sorry to poke fun, I'd be pretty pi55ed too)

Be interesting to hear Nicks side too. Always 2 sides........

This is just FUNNY!!!!

Flat four - get OVER it, i didn't buy your horrible looking car after seeing the pics! BIG DEAL.

P1555ED, you make me laugh too!!!!!

You don't even WORK, obviously you have too much time on your hands so for some reason find it fun to go on the Internet and annoy people trying to just carry on with their life.

Tarren Timberlake was a guy that bought some wheels from me, i had them on my car for 4 weeks having bought them from a guy in reading. They were advertised as fully refurbished and the tyres were all like new.

I bought them for £350 as my tyres were knackered and these looked nice on the GTIR, two weeks later i got the paint work done so bought a new set of Speedlines in White to go with it.

Then i advertised them on the GTIROC - Tarren bought them, i drove up to meet him in Reading (in the Savacentre car park if you must know) and gave him the wheels, the next day he called me to say that he took them somewhere to get them Balanced, but they one was knackered and had been filled or something, this was on the Thursday so he called me that night to tell me.

I DROVE all the way up to savacentre again on Saturday afternoon and gave him ALL the money back, hardly a dishonest sale is it??????

I can't even understand why i'm having to justify myself to such a LOSER, as i said - this car is just for sale if i get the right sort of offer that may help me out for the time being.

It's nothing to do with you, or any of your mates (i.e Flat Four) so can you just keep out of it?????? Or do you HONESTLY have nothing better to do???

So why feel the need to comment on it? are you trying to belittle him or something.

I too used to own a P1 once, moved onto bigger & better things now though.....

So shall we re-itterate what YOU said before about bringing a mechanic along? or even taking a test drive more than 2 minutes down the road? like I said - if it "really was" that much of a 'nail' as you said it was why on earth did you buy it you fool?????

I couldn't spot these things, I didn't drive it, he drove it 2 mins down road, I knew about speedo as he said it had gone the DAY BEFORE, that's why I brought it back on a trailer. As wife is in legal profession and didn't want me to get pulled. So went on gtir.com to find out what it could be.... and saw Nickg123's posts where he had known every fault with the car, plus a load more.
How NOT to buy a car by P1555ED. You would be a 'watchdog' dream!. Of course it was all his fault, I mean, silly you expecting a car thats been round for over a decade in 2 different continents not to be like it came out of a showroom!

I'm not dening that maybe yes, there were some faults with the car, but at the end of the day you didnt have to buy it did you?

Yea I know it is sold as seen and I know we could take him to court over false advertising etc, but we've done this before with a Lotus we had. It cost us a fortune and we only got a small percentage of what the car was worth. It caused months of stress, don't want to go through that again.
Really? sold as seen? you takin no test drive or bringing no mechanic to check the vehicle over? Well i'd like to come & sit in the gallery when that goes to court. Please post the details

So you did the same with a Lotus? well I can't help but say more fool you for buying a Lotus in the 1st place!!! With a record akin to TVR what did you expect?

Pulsars/Sunny GTiR's are reknowned for being notoriously unreliable unfortunately, I can't believe you didnt even look on the GTiR website for common problems or check the technical forums for general ideas as to what goes wrong.

I have a sneaking suspicion you would be the sort of person who wouldnt even bother HPi'ing a car before buying it, then moan that it had been crashed/has outstanding finance....

Please tell me you did HPi it

As for proof that people have had dodgy dealing with him before, we got personal mail on GTIR from people, someone mailed me about being ripped off over some alloys which were knackered! I can't remember now but the wife says he eventually got his money back after loads of hassle.(I'm not sure about that)
Doesnt look like the alloy person got ripped off to me?

Yup - you go buy some more cars blind, without test driving them, or even opening the bonnet thats fine

I saw this link on another forum - I would paste some of the comments, but I wouldnt want to upset you or Mr Flat Four more than you already are
