Suresh.

I stand by my original remark that it demands a great deal of a person to follow a religious way of life. Whether a person chooses what kind of beliefs to follow, religious or otherwise, that is his own affair and he should not be criticised for that as long as the life he does follow does not cause harm or distress to others. Not too much difficulty there I think. To make the choice I mean.

Dracoro,

If you are intending to make serious comments and I am not too certain that you are remembering an earlier post of yours, The "screw-ups" in the World are caused by Man,not God. Natural disasters happen-thats part of life and people will suffer as a result of course. Thats all part of nature and many problems are caused by global warming-who caused that?

Most of the "screw-ups" will be due to greed and selfish behaviour by members of the human race.

...and as God created man, this must all be 'his' fault.
Also, he obviously doesn't have the ability to help us out, or doesn't really care (it HAS to be one or the other, if God exists...), so why bother worshiping him?

Leslie, the reply with 'wasn't me guv' was somewhat tongue in cheek. But then again it could be food for thought. God (if there is one) may have created the world and others we know nought about that are far less or more fooked up than this one. Dimension of Miracles by Robert Sheckley has an interestingly amusing passage about a guy who meets god who admits to the world going 'wrong' and how god has learnt lessons about this and built other new worlds that are far better. Rather good.

The omnipotence and omnipresent posts are valid theological questions that I've never had a straightforward answer to.

see what i mean , angrybeats their is not a single contradiction in the quran God challenges man to find a contradiction, he says if it wasnt from him u would have found contradictions in it

their have been anti islamists who have wrote loadsa books about the quran and the challenge of contradictions but they have fallen flat on their faces

people who do want to see vids, i have many vids, christians and athiests challenging muslim scholars and the muslim always wins, i swear im not lying

ahmad deedat, shabir ally, jamal badawi, dr zakir naik , ahmad deedat took on jimmy swaggart and kicked his ****, he was the second best evangelist ever after bill graham and he got humiliated, billy graham had cold feet to take on ahmad deedat, the pope lost his bottle, pat robertson didnt want to answer his phonecalls and registered letters

if they were truly men of God why would they not debate against an old man ahmad deedat.

the notorious zionist evangelist anis shorrosh got his **** kicked twice from him and never ever challenged him again

dr zakir naik , the darwin thumper, i have his vids anyone wanna see them

your welcome but pls do return them to me, their precious

and geezer my friend

taliban is notorious but the other ones in charge were worse, rapists, butchers and evil doers, the tajiks, uzbek factions were motherfeckers, did u want us to support them , taliban were mental but the other c;unts were worse.

for one man osama bin laden they wanted to bomb all of afghanistan and kill their people , of course i wont support them, for one man slaughter a natiom , turn a blind eye to russian atrocity against the chechens in condition they join the coaliton.

to control muslim land , the new world order, to control the air and land of the muslims and iraq, oil oil oil, halliburton comes to mind, save the oil wells first

no chance mate, saddam was an evil man,, i wish the arabic b@stard leaders, the ***** ******** camel d1ckheads should have done something about it

but the arab leader is too busy smoking the huka, its time God chose another nation to defend the cause.

maybe its time for white and african islam to prevail, arabs and asians had their chance its time for the white, african , chinese and indonesian time to defend the cause of islam and also chechens

iraq was worse then and is worse than before too

wait another few months geezer, its a timebomb mate u will see

sorry ted, my wife was angry with me and i couldnt answer your query to the full

im banned for a month on the net she says but when she is upstairs i sneak, she says i aint spending much time doing stuff with her as in work in the house and spending time and taking her out, so we made a deal i would hardly go on the net, except at work, but in the house im only allowed an hr a day

so here goes

about the thing u asked me mate about the jewish woman not allowed to read some prayers.

first of all, everything from God is pure, in the original teachings of the jews ( original muslims with the ishameli father of the arabs)

God would have never have taught them such thing, like i said, jews were a wandering people mate, they lost alot of their teachings and so much of the old testament has been written down from time and mainly by historians, kings and people who heard hearsay and attributed it to God and prophet musa, david and the rest.

yes their are some words of God, but its been mixed in with other peoples sayings, the original teachings of the jews would never contradict the quran coz the original torah and psalms was from God too and their are alot of teachings in judaism that have nothing to do with the religion that God has given us, like talmud has nothing to do with the torah but the rabbi would argue saying u cant se the torah without the talmud and the oral traditions the gemerah, but these have been written by man, stories of prophet moses, what he said and what he didnt say etc etc, been passed down, so like christianity it has teachings of men.

i will give u an example

their was a muslim guy called abu hurairah, he didnt like dogs so he used to teach about not keeping dogs as pets , but God didnt command it, abu hurrairah was a lil harsh when it came to woman, but those teachings found their way into islam, but it had nothing to do with it, he was a holy man after the prophet with no authority from God, yes he was a good man but his words arent Gods or the prophets

see the quran doesnt have any word of the prophet mohammad peace be upon him, its God and God only

God says and commands to the messenger.

and the sayings of the prophet are in a book called the hadith, again written down by a guy called sahih bukhari, who along time after the prophet ,wrote down so much of the texts he had found of the manuscript of the teachings of the prophet etc

so their both separated and then u get the sunnah the ways of the prophet, all of them arent mixed in the quran their all separate, see what i mean

so unfortunately the old testament is a mix of Gods teaching, prophets, men, rulers , kings and rabbis.

lets say for example

God said unto moses and and moses said unto the lord and moses went here

it came to pass this happened and it came to pass this did happen

see its word of man not God , its been passed down

so in the original teachings of the jews God wouldnt have said woman aint allowed to pray this or that.

u know ask the jew, the original torah texts arent in hebrew, thats the shocking thing its in greek, torah and the old testament came out long before the romans and how can it be in greek, why coz it was lost

and did u know who taught the jews to read hebrew again, their cousins the arabs, jews had lost the way to pronouce their vowels and read their books and arabs taught them how to use the vowels as they use in arabic

honest no bull the old manuscripts are in greek not hebrew

http://www.postfun.com/pfp/NC-17Bible.html#BE

look at the above u will see what i mean, it has mans words in it too mate

u ever read the book called the x rated bible

here is an example mate of what i mean about the word of man

all 4 gospels have a different ending

---------------
1: Now after the sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Mag'dalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulchre.
2: And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.
3: His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
4: And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men.
5: But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
6: He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.
7: Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. Lo, I have told you."
8: So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
9: And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Hail!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
10: Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me."
11: While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place.
12: And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sum of money to the soldiers
13: and said, "Tell people, `His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.'
14: And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble."
15: So they took the money and did as they were directed; and this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.
16: Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
17: And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted.
18: And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20: teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."
--------------------------------------

1: And when the sabbath was past, Mary Mag'dalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salo'me, bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.
2: And very early on the first day of the week they went to the tomb when the sun had risen.
3: And they were saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the tomb?"
4: And looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back; -- it was very large.
5: And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe; and they were amazed.
6: And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen, he is not here; see the place where they laid him.
7: But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you."
8: And they went out and fled from the tomb; for trembling and astonishment had come upon them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid.
9: Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
10: She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11: But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.
12: After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country.
13: And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.
14: Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they sat at table; and he upbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.
15: And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16: He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
17: And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
18: they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
------------------------------

1: But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared.
2: And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3: but when they went in they did not find the body.
4: While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel;
5: and as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6: Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,
7: that the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise."
8: And they remembered his words,
9: and returning from the tomb they told all this to the eleven and to all the rest.
10: Now it was Mary Mag'dalene and Jo-an'na and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told this to the apostles;
11: but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.
13: That very day two of them were going to a village named Emma'us, about seven miles from Jerusalem,
14: and talking with each other about all these things that had happened.
15: While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.
16: But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.
17: And he said to them, "What is this conversation which you are holding with each other as you walk?" And they stood still, looking sad.
18: Then one of them, named Cle'opas, answered him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?"
19: And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
20: and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21: But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since this happened.
22: Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning
-----------------------------

1: Now on the first day of the week Mary Mag'dalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
2: So she ran, and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him."
3: Peter then came out with the other disciple, and they went toward the tomb.
4: They both ran, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first;
5: and stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in.
6: Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; he saw the linen cloths lying,
7: and the napkin, which had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself.
8: Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed;
9: for as yet they did not know the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
10: Then the disciples went back to their homes.
11: But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb;
12: and she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet.
13: They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him."
14: Saying this, she turned round and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.
15: Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away."
16: Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rab-bo'ni!" (which means Teacher).
17: Jesus said to her, "Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God."

Moses,
I fully believe that you think that people liek Saddam and the Taliban and Bin Laden are scum, but the question I asked was why does the greater muslim community not condemn them openly, but attacks the US and Britain for removing what must be anathema to Islam?

ted mate this is an awesome story

----------------------
: but God said, `You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"
4: But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not die.
5: For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
6: So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate.
7: Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.
8: And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9: But the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?"
10: And he said, "I heard the sound of thee in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."
11: He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"
12: The man said, "The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate."
13: Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I ate."
14: The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all cattle, and above all wild animals; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.
15: I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."
16: To the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."
17: And to Adam he said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, `You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18: thorns and thistles it shall bring forth to you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.
19: In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
20: The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.
21: And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins, and clothed them.

------------------------

1> God told adam he will surely die if he eat the apple and satan said he will not die, and adam lived 950 yrs or something , christians and jews say that God meant eternal life, but he was still alive adam for 950 yrs or something, so 1 point to the devil according to the bible.

2. then adam and eve realised they were naked and adam got a fright and he heard God walking in the garden hahaaha, man its like king kong, God who is bigger than anything and he cant be spiritual he has to be heavier than king kong if adam heard him walking in the garden in the cool of the day lol and God said adam adam where art thou, well God didnt know where adam was, maybe he did was only playing hide and seek as we do with our children sometimes we pretend we dont see them and we say were r u haha., well i dont think God plays childrens games so sod that hey.

3. God asks adam, why u hiding, im hiding God coz im naked and God gets confused and said who told u , u woz naked, and then God pauses, did u eat from the fruit, God didnt know he had eaten yet and adam plays the number one game of pass the buck and blames poor mother of ours even, he said she made me do it, u gave her to me, if u hadnt i wouldnt have eat haha

see mate, word of man

-------------------

compare it the the quranic version

19. "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as ye wish: but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression."

20. Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever."

21. And he swore to them both, that he was their sincere adviser.

22. So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?"

23. They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."

24. ((Allah)) said: "Get ye down. With enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood,- for a time."

25. He said: "Therein shall ye live, and therein shall ye die; but from it shall ye be taken out (at last)."

26. O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!

27. O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends (only) to those without faith.

28. When they do aught that is shameful, they say: "We found our fathers doing so"; and "(Allah) commanded us thus": Say: "Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?"

29. Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return."

30. Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance.

31. O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters.

32. Say: Who hath forbidden the beautiful (gifts) of Allah, which He hath produced for His servants, and the things, clean and pure, (which He hath provided) for sustenance? Say: They are, in the life of this world, for those who believe, (and) purely for them on the Day of Judgment. Thus do We explain the signs in detail for those who understand.

33. Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge.

34. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation).

35. O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you apostles from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

----------------

God forgave adam in the quran, their are other verses too and no one carries anyones sin, God doesnt need to sacrifice himself or a innocent man to clean humans of the original sin, God forgave adam and eve

sorry geezer didnt see your thread

mate , muslims always condemned saddam , but u are here in the uk, he was most hated but they started liking him when he stood up against the " satan" as the ayatollah called america

and osama is a bad man but i do agree, their are muslims who saw him as a liberator for the muslims, they believed after what america and israel have done to us muslims, its time we had a superman type a guy like osama to give them back their own medicine

geezer let me give u a secret mate, im not telling lies buddy, but i swear u know the day the twin towers happened, white men and i mean white pure blooded aryans, were happy and jumping in glasgow, i was shocked myself , they said we got the *******, im not bullsh1tting and then i read the combat 18 guys raving about it and also some germans and the news forgot that part and alot of people did

it was an evil that was commited but i do agree their were alot of my brothers and sisters who do respect him coz he stood up against the west and not just that mate, u know mugabe he is an evil man, but did u know how many people saw him as a brave man and a hero, only coz he had more ***** than the arab scumbag leaders, he has fans now too in africa, china and the middle east.

did u know hitler is a hero in the middle east, they call him abu ali or haider, coz he stood up against the colonials of the time in the middle east the brits

no bull mate its true, when people feel oppressed or a target they go and follow anything

so i do agree with u their mate but saddam was hated , but only liked when he stood up against usa aggression and israeli and he became a hero when he was supporting the palestinian cause

Moses, I take it that you do realise that this is just a story and didn't actually happen? If you agree with me then what stories actually are true in your old books and which aren't? If you disagree with me then, urm, well that's a bit sad really...

Edited to say:

Please tell me you don't think this really actually happened!?

True MN, he could be a sad bloke driving a Mini and yipping about that.

I very much disagree with most of what Moses says, as well as with the way he chooses to discuss things, but he's not just trying to wind up people, and you are.

I doubt you can even see the difference.

I think most of the problems all stem around the problems in Israel. The USA needs to cut off or reduce the amount of cash it pumps into the country until the violence stops, the brits need to go in there and sort the politicans out. After all (if my history memory serves me) both countries had lots to do with the formation of Israel after WWII.

It's time for us and the yanks to face facts, it's not going to get any better until Israel is sorted out.

Whilst I'm on me soap box, can someone send the SAS in for mugabe. He needs to meet his "maker"...

Moses, if there really is some kind of all powerful God, why is he so poor at helping the world out, or doesn't he care?

angrybeats and scoobysnacks u guys aint after an explanation u are just playing, go and play with yourselves or each other

buckrogers well said dude , thats what caused the problem, trust me if israel and the palestinian conflict stop, majority of the terrorism will stop too the rest is upto the usa to get out of saudi arabia, kuwait and iraq.

the usa is the sole benefactor if this is how we spell it of israel and al qaeda see them is a number one target , if they stop the usa they will stop israel coz israel is nothing without the usa and the aid and support they get.

but the usa politicians will sacrifice innocent american blood to support their boss sharon and his slayers , usa blood is cheap compare to israeli

edited to add cheers somedude

and also i aint got a beard, im a clean shaving romeo

Moses - cheers for the earlier info.
If the US stopped supporting Israel do you really think that Israel would survive? and do you think they 'should' survive? It was only a few years ago (before nutter sharon) that it looked like there would be religious harmony in the area.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the true meaning of zionism - a homeland for Jews. I'm sure you don't either.

Question

Actually Moses, I really would like a decent explaination, but the fact that you haven't answered my questions tells me you can't think of one...

On a different note, are you the real moses who spoke to the burning bush and all that?

ted if israeli treat their arab cousins as humans, i promise u mate, they would survive they would even be allowed to live in egypt, jordan and other lands, were one people as long as they stop the oppression mate i know my arab brethren, they have a big heart, look at the history, the christians and jews always came to them for help against their own leaders. spanish chrstians asked jabar al tariq for help thats gibraltar in spanish its named after the conqeuror, the jewish rabbis were annoy that why did saladdin let their rabbis judge them, they always wanted to be judged my muslims and not their own rabbi's and religious zealots, saladdin and other muslims give them their own quarter in muslim lands so they can lead a righteous life and by their own laws, peasant jews , poor jews didnt want to stay among jewish zealots, they wanted arab leaders to judge them and look after them coz they were just, read their own books mate about moses maimonides the rabbi and books by israel shahak, a good man

and i dont mind a jewish homeland , but i also dont mind a homeland for the kurds either.

scoobysnacks i have every answer for u , u are my whupping boy if i want u to be , but enough of hijacking threads and entertaining trolls, coz of the trolls i started believing all were like that here, but its not, majority are decent people just a minority are trolls.

so i wont entertain u , go and annoy someone else

Scoobysnacks, I have seen a burning bush myself, just after I had accidently set fire to my wife.

Would you consider it a good contribution to a debate if I asked you if you are really fed to Subarus ?

On a more serious not Moses, where was God for the people who died in the Madrid bombings today? Some of these poeple will have been very religious, so why did God allow them to die in this terrible way?

I don't think Moses has a direct line to Allah, so he can not answer your question.

Not every religion sees "God" as someone who constantly steers & monitors 6 billion people you know.

We do have the choice of which path we want to follow.

Oh, and yes, I'm not religious myself
