Methanol works nicely, but after use there is a downside... fuel consumption appears to be slightly higher because to pull it to stoich on cruise more fuel is required.

Hi John. Do you mix it in your main tank or do you use a water injection system? What sort of proportions are you using, and how much more advance are you able to run with the meth? Cheers.

Do you think the economy is reduced because the lambda sensor is sensitive to methanol at a different voltage - and it's expecting good ol gasoline?

10% in the tank.

Stoich for methanol is about 6.5:1 IIRC, vs petrol 14.7:1. The lambda sensor will get you to lambda 1 so more fuel will be used unless you end up using less throttle because it makes more torque. Too small to measure easily.
