I had a guy phone from Manchester saying he'd take it for £7500. He's making 'travelling' arrangements so I'll give him a few days to get back to me failing that and its yours

Just been out and washed the scooby as it was gathering dust and I've noticed that the Tax is due at the end of this month and the MOT was due for renewal 2 days ago I'm pretty confident they give you 'two weeks' to get it done so anyone buying the car should know it'll need an MOT which it should sail through. On the basis its due its big service you'd be best advised to grunt 'MOT' at the dealer when putting it in for that

It would be wise to MOT it yourself. Car without an MOT is kinda worthless.

I'll still buy it without an MOT. Stupid, maybe but then again I don't care.

Come on Kenny just tell me I can have it now. The wait is killing me!!!

If I haven't heard a peep from Mr £7500 by this time tomorrow book your flight because its yours. I should see no problem in passing an MOT its back to standard, etc. That said last years MOT was a somewhat simplified afair, what with the eco-unfriendly decat in all

Er, John - at no point have scoobyvirgin and agreed any terms! He has simply made me aware of his offer and I'm not going to push him for more but will accept his offer if nothing better is forthcoming. At the end of the day whilst I respect his offer he knows that £7k is painfully lower than what I wanted to sell this car for - so is £7350 actually! But, since you are being such a tool about it please phone Mr Anderson of David Morrison Subaru in Falkirk on 07703527657 and ask about the Edinburgh based MY99 that THEY approached me about!! I don't lie!!

Omg! Just looked at the Falkirk website, they've got loads of low mileage classics in and the prices are If they do buy it from you Kenny I'll hate to see what the mark up will be.

Also would appreciate it if I could get first refusal on the 7K offer.

Cheers

Just looked myself!! **** they are not cheap!!! Still if they pay £7350 for mines they can have it failing that you defo have first refusal at £7k. It wasn't until the end of my conversation with the guy that I came to realise it was a Subaru dealer I was talking to. On that basis I'm not counting my chickens yet as the car did have a full-decat at one point and you know how dealers don't like that stuff! They didn't seem bothered about the pending service. Obvoiusly whilst they charge us £750 to do it, it costs them a fraction of that

Hmm Drive Subaru of Falkirk. Always did worry about all of their "low mileage" stock. They must have a secret stash of classics that never get used.

I don't normally do this but - Nice one John!!!!! (please note the sarcasm)

I don't get why any of the £7grand brigade won't just do another £300?

I mean you either want an Impreza or you don't! The differnce between 99my cars and older ones is massive and they are well worth a bit more money.

I have seen these cars cheap before, but only nails. If this is a genuine car and someone can buy it for genuine trade money then what is the problem.

You know if a dealer buys it the someone else will buy it from them for minimum £2k more.

It just annoys me a little because last year I sold a nice STI 7 to a Scooby dealer who sold it for over £18k. Any of you guys could have had it for £15500, but no. One of you scoobynetters probably now owns it but has paid £3k over the odds?

Anyway, good luck with the sale. It's a shame there is not more interest.

It is a very fair price I feel There is nothing wrong with the car other than the fact its got a lot of pending stuff due and that the bodywork has a few scuffs and dings but as you can see from the pictures it still very much looks the part. If I hadn't bought the pug (used my savings) I could have used that £2k to get the serivce, mot and tax done and then put it into a specialist for another £500 or so to get the bodywork taken back to standard then sell it as a super mint example that needs no money spent on it for ages for £9500 or more. Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to do this and fetch a slightly better price.

With a bit of luck the dealer won't be put off by the a-pillar boost gauge that screams 'I've been modified' and it'll be gone on Saturday.

Didn't realise I was a brigade!! Anyway, I won't go the extra as 7k is all i've got to spend at the moment.

If it goes to Subaru then so be it. I won't be the one paying anymore for it from them

Are you sure these guys aren't having you on? I just made a phone call to Mr Subaru dealer with a non existent Turbo, same spec as yours just 5000 miles less. I was told if they were to buy it they would look at paying in the region of £6-£6.5k

Thank god I don't own one

Sold my MY99 PPP last week for £7500 which was very cheap. The PX on it was only £6000 hence why I sold it privately.

Question

Saxo boy, It was just some random Subaru dealer from down south. That being said, Cars seem to be more expensive down here. I always thought that they got cheaper the further up north you went.
