Any members ordered a Type25?

I agree, £34k is OTT (in my opinion) for what is essentially a highly tuned Jap Spec GL model.
Financially a 2nd hand M3 would be a better investment, however if you have money to spend and are after the quickest point to point car on British roads then the Type25 is the car to get.
If they were priced under £28k I reckon he'd sell heaps....

Conrad don't forget all the suspension, chassis changes, spoilers, oh then you'll need a turbo to go with that cheap US engine and a flat driveway to get all the work done lol You know what I mean
Course you could always have all the changes with out the 2.5 and it'll still be a VERY fast car.

Some of you are missing the point a bit, not many people who would buy a brand new car for that kind of money, then get the bottom end replaced with the short block, the the exhaust changed, remapped etc etc.
Not to mention spend months of research, engineering and testing turbo and exhaust combos / mods. Oh, and then there is the unique modified bilstein suspension. Oh and the various other extras like Secs unit, GPS camera detector, Spec C baffled fuel pump, Sti oil cooler and so on.
Oh, and then there's the 1 year warranty (extendable to three years) not voided by further (approved) modification or track excursions.
Someone like yourself Conrad, and Bob R are definitely going to go that route, but you are in a very small bracket, within a very small bracket. The dot within a dot, if you will. Anyone seriously considering this kind of car I am betting would be more than happy to pay slightly extra to avoid the hassle and get the extra peace of mind.
I do totally agree about depreciation, but this is a very specialist car, and if my money situation was slightly less tight I would definitely have one. As it is, I am probably going to go for a Spec C.

With apologies to Autocar:
"so it came as a bit of a shock to jump into the Lambo after a Type 25 session only to wonder if the engine had developed a misfire at around 3000rpm.
Not even a 5.0 litre V10 can match the Scooby's initial mid range and it's the jap saloon that bolts past the apex that little bit harder"
Enough for me, if I had a bit more cash I'd be ordering one, that insurance quote is fiendish though.

Scooby L,
Gazza Strip?
Your close I have a Bradford post code and you know what idiots they are like rioting, shooting and what have you lol!
With regards speaking to Ian Litchfield r.e. the insurance. I already have done and that is the quote I got from the insurance company recommended.
It's outta my league anyway. I suppose the supercar performance goes hand in hand with the quote!
Damian.

I'd have to say it's one of the most complete cars out there. As for overpriced, if you take the components that are being used in this beast of a car and buy them seperately, you'd end up paying far more, not less.
The suspension is one of the magic parts about it - rides like my Seat Leon, but grips like my Spec C with a little extra "quick setting" superglue on the tread
The power is truly amazing, not in a complete "500bhp Evo rush with lots of lag first that's always gonna be better on a 1/4 strip", but it's very driveable and useable power on normal roads and I'm sure it would show something with more power a thing or 2 when it comes to normal everyday driving which is what most of us do more often.

tbh,
I would have bought an STi wagon had it been available.
Using the WRX wagon would need a gearbox replacement as I am sure the 2.5's torque would soon knack the 5 speed. So it would become expensive then. IMHO.
