the cars probably capable of 100's in the 12s, but is the driver? obviously wasnt on that day

Well @ the Fast show there were at least 6 cup's going up the strip and the best time was 15.5 @ 89 mph

Dont know if ANY had mods?

Jesus they are sh!te times!


First time I ever ran my Cup at Santa Pod it was only 3 weeks old, had just 1,250 miles on the clock at the time, was totally standard, nothing removed to save weight (in fact I had stuff in the boot), oh and it was the hottest weekend of the year...

Still managed 15.0secs dead!


Next time I ran, it had 2,700 miles on the clock, a Pipercross Viper and the rear seats were out, which is when I was running 14.5's

God knows what these lot were playing at today then?!

Down to driver skills i think

It makes me laugh when you race these guys up the strip as they think you just slam your foot to the floor and away you go...........er i dont think so

More than likely the condition of the Santa Pod surface, when it's slippy it's more slippy than a slippy thing, when it grippy it's fantastic......

When it has been slippy even some Impreza's Wagons have had difficulty breaking 15 secs despite the traction advantage over FWD cars...

What you need is 4wd to launch and then revert to RWD for the rest of the run but I suppose the weight and trans losses are still pretty much there whatever you do ?
