Hey - now you found the Greenline site, be really adventurous & look at some American sites, you can buy complete HKS turbo kits for nearly half the price than you can get them here! good isnt it!

Although what happens when it goes wrong?
buy another with the cash you saved, is it really that hard for you

Touche

Import duty & VAT though?

And, then what happens if it goes wrong

Despite what you may think, I do agree that we are overcharged for parts in the UK, but then I guess the suppliers are overcharged further down the chain

But picking on one company & saying your prices are more than Greenline/Japanparts/Takakaira etc is hardly fair you have to admit?

OK, putting the arguing aside for a minute

I have a UK MY97 with the following engine mods:

Full decat (2.5")
K&N Induction kit
GReddy Profec e-01 boost controller set to 1.3bar peak
HKS s40i iridium plugs
Forge VTA
All the usual monitoring (AFR, Knocklink etc.)

Over the next few weeks I will be fitting:

VF34 Turbo (already here)
Tony Law equal length headers (already here)
550cc Injectors (on thier way)
Hybrid FMIC (on it's way)
Walbro fuel pump and uprated reg. (on thier way)

After I've fitted that lot I was going to get a Power FC fitted and mapped by R C Developments, the only problem being driving the 150 miles (I'm in Bristol) to R C Developments on my standard ECU un-mapped for the above mods.

Now after reading this thread I'm seriously considering ordering one from Greenline and getting it fitted and mappped by you Andy.
The thing is I would be driving all the way from Bristol to Scotland on the standard unmapped MY97 ECU.
Obviously I would be driving off-boost and like a granny all the way, but do you think it would be OK driving all that way un-mapped?

the power fc has 12 built in maps so you should be ok to drive your car just not hard

remember if your getting a power fc they are not for uk cars and need a few wires sorting out, this is the only reason why i havent bought one from greenline myself, im after the wiring information before i spend my cash on the ecu

i priced everything up from greenling and it was £710 delivered that includes power fc, power fc boost controoler and power fc commander.

and ive been told from a few people that no one pays duty on orders from greenline

im sure if you read thru the thread the only person who started going over the top and arguing was CHERYL, the rest only responded in normal "windup" banter

Default Hello

Cheryl,

is a girl ,

I am unaware of what has gone on,

I think all she was trying to do was to make me happy by selling a pfc which was sent to me in error from Japan.
This ecu is for sale as i dont want it on my shelf, a retail price is set by me and Cheryl will quote that, this price will include a full gaurantee on the unit and full technical back up, if this is not required the unit can be sold for £475
just to clear it from my shelf.

Our doors will be open to other makes not just Skylines (but it is not my intention to specilise in anything else) and as developments occur the results will be published on MY WEBSITE not Cheryls,

This is going to be done with the aide of our 200mph,4x4, 1475 bhp Mustang dyno, which will arrive in JUNE so things could become interesting and kind of fun

I do not wish to be judged on here by Anyone,No one else has seen my work as my true customers go no where else and anyones postings other than mine are beyond my control

by the way give Cheryl a break, she is only trying to shift my dead stock the sooner it is gone the better

Regards
ary

Cheryl: Obviously you are a loyal employee, doing your best. As Andy explained carefully, if you re-read it, mapping a flat four Subaru is not the same as doing a Skyline. Anyway, welcome to ScoobyNet. How come you have 57 posts throughout the thread?
Gary: Glad that's all cleared up now. Got to say I am very impressed with the cars you have turned out that I have seen in the flesh or in magazines.

"harvey caps off now shut it" Tomo: What's that about?
