Id just put it in simple terms, eliminates lag between gear changes

Only between gear changes... does that mean it doesn't when you plant your foot in a high gear at low revs

20mph 4th gear for instance?
She pulls like a tank
(and 5th at 30mph )

One of the lads from our local meet asked what gear I was in @ 30-35mph as he said he could really feel the torque.

Err that's 5th I replied, changed to 2nd and snapped his neck LOL

Is it true that the WR1 was a manual DCCD whilst Spec C is Auto? Thats a big handicap IMHO for the WR1...90% of maual dccd users never touch the thing.

No, it'd be more accurate to say that it reduces it to the extent that you don't notice. A little bit is still there!

And yes OF, the WR1 does have DCCD-A

Ok cool, just that on www.subaru.co.uk they specifically refer to it as manual..I guess they just mean you can override it.

Personally I am glad of a half second lag between gear changes it gives me time to take another breath
