Standard 13k mile bridgestones that came with the car, nothing too out of the ordinary really.

He didn't take it back to the dealership before they closed did he? i would be gutted having a motor like that with a good start and losing, i think it was only a few tenths though, always another day.

Default Well Chuffed

Well I was there sunday. For my first ever go at the 1/4. I set myself one goal! Don't stall it!!

I managed that. My first effort was 13.2!!!! I was up against an RS escort (apparently just rebuilt and running at 250bhp) But I don't think he had much fun cos he got a 17.6.

Then went up against a silver new age scoob bogged it a bit off the line but still managed a 13.5.

Last run was up against a skyline! Got away really well then boned the change into third!!!!!! Would have been a good time cos it was 13.3 with absolute muppetry!

Great day out though!

Ade

Red MY96 with Radius R2's (I think there only two red classics there).

Was very pleased but was gutted as I thought I had a high 12 run in me..... Will just have to go again

Not sure what power it's running (last time it was on powerstation RR it was 296Bhp) but have changed the I/C to an STI V TMIC, injectors, coils, and new GEMS ECU, so feels a lot faster to drive.

Anti-lag is just sooooo much fun.

Lol I'm sure your wrx will be fine.

I've never really been bothered about humbleing anything/one I just like having a laugh with cars.

I gotta say I was quite suprised about peoples attitude at Santa Pod (admittedly I hadn't given it much thought) but I kind of expected everyone to be dead serious and competative, but was very pleased to discovered just about everyone was chilled, friendly and just there for laugh

he wasnt too happy no, but the camera man filming me seemed to like it, people like that should have gone to a Sunday Afternoon Tea Party instead of a motoring event! what they expect, did he ban Terry Grant too lol. its not like i even broke the 5mph speed limit.

i thought it was the delagated donut area anyway, think that new M3 before me and the skyline stole the show though. the only person near us was the camera guy.

The GT2 did approx 14.5 in the hands of the lovely lady and put in low 12s in the hands of the male owner.

My mates skyline returned dissappointing low 12s. Pretty good but when considering it has 620bhp we were all expecting more.
Defo has probs though as it just bogs down if the redline is hit in any gear..............good terminal though of 118mph

I did get the slips. I'll have a look when I get home it was my second run so I'll have a look.

My mate has apparently put the video for that and my first run on his website. I have seen the first run... I think he stumbled or something the camera work is a bit of a laugh, but apparently sounds good (have viewed it at work have no speakers). I haven't seen it but the second one is supposed to be better filming.

His site is www.ewart.biz it's under downloads. (first run is about 5.5MB the second about 12MB)

I'm definately going to have another go at it!! So maybe I'll see you then.

I'm determined to sneak into the 12's. I'm thinking it's possible (13.3 with fluffed third, I swear that's going to haunt me until I get it right).

Hopefully will get my water spray working by the next time....

Ade
