Thanks for the help!

I'll clean the solenoid. How do i reset the ECU or do i only do that if the engine management light comes on?

Thanks

Katie

Thumbs up

Great

do that and hopefully it will be ok.

And red is good but try black.
It does sometimes increase Boost pressure, and give a bigger surge.

OK Ill get my coat....

Right *clears throat* where were we? Oh yeah, your faulty muff. Sorry, that was another post...!

From what you've described, I'd put money on either your lambda or your MAF (or both).

It sits drivers side just behind the air "box" it looks like a tampon holder, or more precisely a brown smarties tube. It has thin black pipes coming from it.

Am I being cynical here or could it be that she may be posting it for her boyfriend....well my bloke had problems with his evo 7 (who wouldn't) but he refused to post the question out of pride. Perhaps Katie was trying to impress him with a solution....

I must be cynical considering I am a female owner myself.

You spend more time on your car than me? and money!
you cant win, what happened to girlfriends being supportive and being interested, you get whinged at if you dont express interest in what they do!

I cannot believe she is not interested in scooby! My bloke bought a fantastic yellow evo 7 last two years ago and let me borrow it for weeks at a time when he was on business trips. Well, he got me so hooked that I had to have my own but could only afford a scooby (but they also don't homologise the evo here in france) and we have been talking cars ever since. Try that for a change in tactic.

Does that mean you are?

My missus comes along to my local scoob club meets and gets involved, infact, she got me (well, paid for) a magnex decat centre for my classic!!
Altho, she wasnt keen on the dump valve

Katie, if you are a bloke, YOU'RE WEIRD!!! If you're not, fair play to ya for getting stuck in. I usually get someone else to help sort mine out .

I doubt Jordan would be able to drive a Scoob, or anything with a steering wheel for that matter...

Wink

Quote from Katie "No not a bloke!!!"

In my experience as a woman, if falsely accused of something, we normally provide a long-winded response (many guys here will know exactly what I mean) - your response above is awefully short for a woman, so come on "Katie", show us evidence of that other x-chromosome. Words like solenoid, ECUs and EMC don't convince....

The only way to solve this riddle, Katie would-be-Jordan, is to post a photo with our Scoobies. Yours will be a 94 model right? You go first!

Katie, I must admit, after looking at your profile, a 19 year old girl (woman?) that is saying ....

"...Back to the car i've got an air to fuel gauge and since the hesitation started it seems to run rich alot of the time. The hesitation is worse when first started in every gear on and off boost between 2 and 3 thousand revs it bogs down but if you accelerate it pushes through it...."

...how have you aquired your technical knowledge...and what do you do for a living??? A rally driver.... oh, If you were, you'd probably already know the answer wouldnt you!

But I like Melina's idea.... get yer scoobies out!!! (Sorry )

J
