Fair play, although 310 out of a TD04 with light breathing and ECU mods is a bit extrapolative of the truth IMO
have you done any 1/4 mile times in it?
have you done any 1/4 mile times in it?

Is there a Dyno Sheet perchance ?
Must say I like those cars, never driven one but a neighbour had an Aero model 900 in Silver and it looked superb, Had a Volvo T5 estate at the time which is a similar deal, i.e. large, Swedish and turbocharged.

1/4 mile sucks as they are pretty difficult getting off the line

'before I did my mods my best at crail iirc was 12.9 secs and 101 mph'
Must have had some mods to do that kind of time !
SJ, I am interested, love to see what owners of other cars can acheive.

For a FWD car to achieve that sort of time it doesnt seem like traction is an issue, I'd expect a far higher trap speed if traction was a problem. Weird...
Then again Crail are renouned for achieveing faster times than Santa Pod for example

the m3 did not think so tonight.when I completely destroyed him...[/QUOTE]
Did you have your pipe and slippers at the time?
I have a couple of classic 900 turbos - 1 in excess of 260bhp, and it is hugely entertaining seeing the looks on peoples faces when you leave them for dead! My father has a 9000 aero with the maptun stage 3 upgrade, quoted at 280 bhp and 330lb/ft of torque. It does 60 in around 5 seconds and the 100 in around 12 - Not bad for a fwd brick.

If its not a hatch what the hell is it ??????
Its got a bloody great door in the back that lifts up and allows you to get fridges and wardrobes in...
A hatch in other words... not a boot which is an enclosed trunk like thing...

Ultimate hot hatch for me would probably have to be a lancia intergrale or maybe Escort cossie their both true hatchs and with 400+ bhp/torque they'd be mad
I'd really like to say a Nissan sunny gtir but tbh even though I own one myself I doubt its handling could match the lancia or the ford

My last one was Abbott tuned with 'only' 260bhp and 320 lb/ft and I had enough trouble getting traction out of that so the 400bhp beast must be a real handful. the Aero is a pretty great car in standard kit as it is.
Nice one ylee coyote!
Please post the dyno curve when you have got one. I would love to see it.

I'm still waiting for the timing slip from Crail 60ft time etc, just doesnt stack up IMO as judging by the time and trap speed traction does not seem a problem which suprised me...

however
on the 28th/9/02 when the car was putting out about 285 hp and 316 ftlbs of torq (power engineering )
fastest 1/4 of 5 was ...
r/t / 60 ft / tv / ET
0.568 /2.646 / 100.2 / 13.884
