best Radar Detector on the market.. approx £400

well i have to say i agree with Mr Stephens 100%,i myself have the micro road pilot with the lrc100,and they are the nuts to be honest, the missus had a fit when i told her how much these two products were gunna cost me,but it was all made worthwhile today when i had her in the car with me,and i come across a truvelo that i hadnt noticed,as my speed rose to 34mph,without me even realizing, the little baby started screaming to let me know the camera was there.the little wifey was amazed and finally agreed that they were worth the money i had spent on them.
i would also like to add that you can buy a radar detector to add to the road pilot and the micro, laser detectors are not worth tupence IMHO,purely because by the time they warn you of the laser, you have already been zapped.i used to have a radar detector b4 i bought the MRP,and it was absolute ****e,way to many false alarms, all i can say is to stick with a GPS detector, much better.
if you want to look at a comparison table then have a look here http://www.speedcamerasuk.com/ about half way down the page Compare the complete range.
hope that helps

all these arguments are reasons to get a gps based unit, they don't give advice on one over the other.
wr1, remember the price and the complexity of use as well as visibility, audibility and style.
I personally don't want something suckered onto my windscreen as it is nowhere near as neat.
Not only that but you will be tempted to look at it all the time and it becomes a distraction. If you need to read your speed, modern cars hese days come with a new fangled gismo called a speedometer.

The snooper sr6 neo has the option to warn you of a camera always or only if you're speeding over the limit.
It will also tell you what speed you are doing and what you should be doing.
You can also tell it to pick up all cameras or just cameras checking the direction in which you are traveling.
Setting can be gps only, gps and laser only or gps, laser and radar.
Just my 2 pence

Thats why you need a lazer jammer ASWELL.
And if you want to save £150 on the RRP, you best go here:

Hi everyone, I'm new to Scoobynet today, and have some questions to add to this.
1) Do you have to pay to update the Origin B2 per year (subscription)? How does it update, do you plug it into a USB port or something?
2) Will the Origin pick up things like Bus Lane cameras, which we have in Aberdeen. I know the snooper does, but is this because it is picking up the radar signals?
3) What signals to regular gatsos use? If a new one goes up how long does the Origin database take before it gets updated? Will the Origin not pick this up till I update it? Will the optional radar attachment pick this up when it gets released?
4) What guns do the cops use when they stand behind hedges and the like? Are these Laser guns, which I have read that its not really worth having a laser detector unless you have a jammer as well?
Thanks guys

1) b2 can be bought with an additional modem for phone downloads, the Bluei comes with this modem
2)sounds like the rd with the Snooper is picking up the signals
3)yes the radar attachment will pick up a gatso if its not in the database, providing its switched on,and afaik they update every week
4)yep,i believe most are now laser, and the see above for all the deatils on the best jammer,in fact, this thread is well worth a read

Thanks for the reply dba
Still not sure of this tho, I obv have a PC and would like to update it using it, rather than buying the B2 Modem. So my Q1 is still unanswered, anyone got a B2 and know this?

P.S Read all of this thread and it made up my mind to which system to buy. My choices were between the B2 and Road Angel, but I rekon the B2 is best, and have heard its database updates quicker than the RA's

6 months free subscription.
£50 for 12 months thereafter.
Needs a serial port- not USB.
Changed from a Road Angel to the B2- RA a good unit but really no comparison tbh.

If you don't mind me asking, whats the best things you've found from swapping to the B2?? You have experience of both and I'm wondering what the best/worst things are from the swap.
I think the RA is £99 for lifetime updates, so that seems to be one negative from swapping, but I'd be interested to hear what you have found!
Thanks
