Was talking to Dougster yesterday about the meet, and we're thinking it might be a good plan to move it back a bit later. The knockhill motor fair is on, and there's bound to be a few of us going up for this on the Saturday (I'm going to have to work Sunday). Should we break with tradition and make it a 7pm start ?? As far as I can remember there's only a handful of us anyway (from memory me, you, dougster, spooks, my04 and thunderlips). Moving it back might allow a few more to come.
If we eat there, it'll avoid all this cooking malarky too !
Thoughts ?

Kartman,

Really feel for you mate, what an utterly disgraceful act of cowardly vandalism....

I agree with the points above that you can almost "understand" crime, if the perpetrator stands to gain out of it. But this?

With regards to the fingerprint situation.....

Its easy for people to simply put it down to "to much paperwork for plod", but in actual fact, there is very little paperwork involved, so this is not the reason.

The police officers were 100% correct when they told you that it would be pretty fruitless in examining it since it had been lying in the street for a period of time.

Anyone walking by could have (and probably have) handled it, meaning there will be loads of fingerprints on it.

Even the bigest ned in the world with 100's of convictions for theft could have handled it. It doesn't mean he stole it though.

They aren't fobbing you off mate, and "going higher up the chain of command" won't make what I have described any different.

I know this won't make you feel any better, btu I just thought I'd expand on the situation.

P.S. Where was it parked? (area will suffice)

Not that I have a spoiler but what amazes is me is that the ******* who steal these are probably petrol heads to. You'd therefore think that they appreciate someone else pride and joy and sit back and admire it......

These things look pretty daft on anything but a Scooby. Makes you wonder if there's folk on SN who're prepared to buy knock-off gear ?

All the best

Cal

With 38,866 members, whats the odds of there not being folk that'll buy knocked off goods?

Going by the law of averages, I'd estimate that there are hundreds who'd snap it up if given the opportunity.
