Quality thread this one.... Was getting a bit dull on SNet of late, but this has restored it to its former glory....
I believe that some 'Misinformed fool' may have been quoted on another thread as saying that the STI suspension knocking issues that have plagued many MY02 STI owners, is due to us driving our cars like WRC cars... LOL...
You had a really bad week or what??

Damn it man, don't rub salt into the wounds!
Poor old bluto had to settle for his second colour choice:
Salesman: "Sir, for the fiftieth time, the STi does not come in red as standard"
bluto: "damn scoobynetters! Give me a blue one then. You do make them in blue don't you?"

Phew, thanks for the reassurance. Where would I have sent my list of mods I want in December?
Another question - How would he get an Afterburner Vortex down the chimney with out ripping the gift wrap?

Ok, so they make a yellow mark FOUR golf. But the one shown is a 130 bhp model, probably an import from the EU. I am telling you, UK dealers DO NOT sell pale canary yellow golfs: be said. Your car Davidlewis MUST be a grey import. Just like Subaru dealers don't sell RED STI's. By the way: the bloke who posted the picture of the red "STI", thats a Spec C you bafoon.
By the way, the Golf with the diesel 150bhp engine is badged "GTI" with a RED "i". I should know because I nearly bought one. And before anyone asks I didn't go into the showroom looking for a yellow one because they don't sell them .
Why didn't I buy one? Well, what put me off was the wobbly handling, long throw gearshift and baggy loose uncommunicative steering, a la Vectra, sorry.

Did you not spot the pink badge with STi on the front grill.
I think it speaks volumes that only you mistakenly asked for a red one (pay attention)
Not the sharpest tool in the shed, are we ?

The sharpest tool in my shed is a rusty old trowel and I think you have just named yourself young man: the topic here is about a red STI UK spec. So what do you do? Post a picture of a Spec C. Can't you comprehend the subject of this topic? Now who's the blunt tool in the box?

Quote: Just like Subaru dealers don't sell RED STI's
Ian litchfield is a subaru dealer. (Sells it UK mapped, for UK fuel)
I read the thread and did my research - like most people on here. I think your only fault was admitting it (and you know its just a wind up).
I am sorry, and really, I do know that there is no Type UK in red for sale at the moment.

I'd have thought you'd learnt your lesson the other day chap!!! Obviously not, you must get a kick out looking a bit of a pratt!!
I have a UK MY02 STI, unfortunately for you though it's WR Blue, not WR Read...
I also have a black Golf PD150, and I can assure you, that car is no Vectra, clown. Wallowy, maybe, but what are you comparing with, an Impreza?? Get real!
Do yourself a favour, don't speak on here, otherwise you'll attract some more amusing responses from sensible, but slightly sarcastic chaps like me.... LOL

No problems friend .I apologise for saying your car was not available in yellow, clearly it is (albeit on the continent). I must reiterate that a lot of my "research" is done on this website when it comes to Subaru's, because i know, from experience, that there are a lot of knowledeable people on here. However, scoobynet is often blighted with the odd screwball who doesn't know chalk from cheese and only misleads other 'netters. Someone on here was adamant that the STI was available in red and clearly from this thread, I have been "had". I intend to print this thread and take it to the dealership and apologise to the salesman who I may have annoyed.

Don't dictate to me chum I don't find your comments: a/ amusing b/slightly sarcastic.
Crawl back under the carpet and leave me alone
For your information, I WAS comparing the golf GTI PD150 to a Vectra because that is what I believe it FELT like. Okay so its got kick in the kidneys acceleration from low revs, but when you come to the first corner it packs its bags and runs home to mummy. Its the worst handling car I have EVER driven, period.

Take it with a pinch of salt mate, not worth getting up tight about.
Could be worse at least you dont have to live with the thread about getting mascara off

Get a sense of humour fella... This is all good fun afterall!!
As for the Golf, you obviously know the VW Golf range very well, who am I to argue with you... To know the car this well, presumably you have owned one?
Oh, have you been back to see your friendly UK dealer recently... Sorry, couldn' resist...

Oh dear, here we go again, will you ever learn Bluto.
No, I believe the diesels are actually badged TDi. A red i for the 115bhp, a red Di for the 130bhp and a red TDi for the 150bhp.
Oh and yes, mine is an import, already knew that. Not a "grey" import like Scoobs from Japan but a bonefide UK spec RHD from Germany.

Oh and bluto, there is another recent post whereby a scoobynetter is after some red sti stylee mudflaps. Maybe you could pop into your local dealer for him and order some of those colour coded ones
