looking good peccy, and I recognise that location! I was waiting near there for you lot to turn up last sunday
Missed a good run out m8, are you going this sunday?
See you there if so, otherwise we'll have to have a SMACS/STH YORKS get together again real soon,
chris.
ps planning a route this weekend

nice clean machine - quick question peccy: which one is better (in terms of modifying, performance, weight & price, etc...) a) wrx sti ver 6 type r wrc ltd ed (just like yours) - or b) wrx sti version 5 type RA [sonic blue 99 V reg] - or is there no difference whatsoever?

they weigh the same, unless its a non sti which comes with more stuff stripped out, no electrics etc. mine got a few bits missing, no stereo or speakers (a 2 door scooby is also lighter then a 4 door)
performance is the same, as is the lo-ratio gearing and both have the DCCD, handling would be better with the 6TR Ltd as it comes with better suspension as standard and sits a lot lower (check the pics) then the 4 door RA and the 2 door shell is stiffer too, also a front LSD which AFAIK is just a version 6 onwards thing?
price, the 5TRA should be a cheaper with it being an earlier model, the 6TR Ltd's when i was buying mine were the most expensive classic shape except the 22B, about the same price as a P1 but without a warranty but WITH all the toys still

thanks a million peccy... should have obviously spotted the main difference (the doors) anyway it looks like the wrx sti ver 5 ra (99 model) [CHY AT PENNINE SUBARUS tells me this is the killer of all classic scoobs]... at present, other than the p1, 22b, rb5 - in your opinion what are the fastest (bhp/0-60) ever 4 door classic scoobs for under £13k (in order)?

Projucer,
I can confirm that an STi6 Type R WRC Ltd will woop a P1 in accelaration! I know, one was annoying me last Thursday on A38 between Burton and Derby. He sped off from about 80 upwards, I caught him easily and just played with him, then left him for dead.
Nick
PS it was very late and not another car in site!
