Nothing new there though, both the ps2 and xbox didnt deliver what they originally said they would.
Id probably like the xbox more if there were better games for it. V-Rally and GT on the ps were brilliant. PGR on xbox got abit boring for me. And Munchs Oddessy on xbox was just too darn hard imo!

I don't think it will be worth the wait. (unless online play makes up for it)
I managed to get hold of a 1 car demo of it and the graphics look soo poor compared to PC games such as Richard Burns rally. i just couldnt play it for long it annoyed me![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)
It showed gT4 ingame and in replays so i can only assume it is using the gt4 engine
Ps2 is too old to, they should have released the Ps3 by now.

Looking forward to Forza & NFSU2...
Did start playing Burnout 3 but dare I say it, got a little bored and found it to repetitive, I also got very sidetracked playing Fable..

Always been a fan of the GT series, and was going to get a PS2 just for GT4, but then realized that this is a little sad, getting a console for just one game, plus I'd be wating until I'm seriously old and grey for it to come out anyway.
Beggars belief that they've removed online play from it, and I think it will cause harm to the PS2, though I doubt Sony will lose too much sleep over what the gaming fraternity has to say.
As for crash damage, I always thought it was to do with the manufactuer licencing stating they did not want their cars to be shown in an unflattering light by being crashed, this is interesting as in PGR2 you can quite happily smash up Porsches, Ferrari's, Zonda's and pretty much anything else.
As for burnout 3, I've heard some good things about it, and think I will be obtaining a copy to have a bash with, I like the idea of a bit of "urban", and it's safer doing it on a console than out in the real world

As an owner of an xbox and a PS2 I cannot imagine the online element of GT4 [if we ever see one] to be very good anyway as the PS2's online capabilities are total pants, compared with Xbox anyway.

Whats this about the manufacturers not allowing Crash Damage, why barely a month ago I ploughed my brothers Rover into a New Mondeo, the damage was definitely incorprated and very real, I think Polophony Digital cant be arsed doing it.

The original rumour from GT1/2 was that the manufacturers wanted huge licensing fees to allow crash damage. Polyphony were too tight to pay it, which is silly as they must have made milions from the franchise.
IMHO, GT4 needed to be special - crash damage, online play, better career modes, and much better AI.
From the sounds of it it is gearing up to be GT3.1.
Or are they double bluffing us all, and the delay is actually because they are still working on damage dynamics and an Xbox version???
