Hi
It sounds like he signed up for what's called an 'AVS site' (adult verification system) Basiclly this is a load of websites which want to ensure that whoever enters the site is 18+, to do this they require you to enter your card details (sometimes charged, other times it's free) when you have joined you get access to all of the sites which are part of this AVS, if it wasn't administred this could easily include some child **** sites. If he never entered any of these sites then he has nothing to worry about.

if thats the case the AVS industry seems pretty unconcerned...there are loads of them and it seems odd that by using one you could be caught up in this?

its like buying a video from a market stall then being accused of other stuff because the stall was selling somehing else under the counter.

if ppl can be caught up in this way im surrprised the AVS sites still have ppl pay when they could expose themselves like this?

edit to add: although the bloke in the previous story got off it doesnt sound like the sort of charge that would come about from using an AVS- at least not in the way that you are allowed by law.

"He denied two charges of attempting to incite the distribution of indecent photographs of children and two charges of incitement to distribute indecent photographs of children. "

Guys.... as I have said before, the Operation Ore database was discovered when they raided the offices of Landslide. The names showed what website(s) the names signed up for to see, when the user used the card-billing company that belonged to Landslide Productions.

I'm sure that all will become clear, one way or another, in the investigation.
