That saltire kilt is a bit of a larf IMHO.
I`d leave it out m8, but don`t get one of the std off the peggers either fella.
Checkout u r own tartan (if there is one) n ave it
Pete of the clan Marr (who researched for about 8 years to find his real tartans only to find out that one of the two isn`t made any more)

Go for it.
If you like it and the future misses likes it then go for it.
The photo's will still look traditional and when people see the back I bet it will get everyone talking.
Some people just dont like change.

Well folks, the wedding was yesterday, and I went for the Saltire tartan against everyones advice!
I've never been one for following the masses and I like being different. (remember the red flaps on a DBM classic! )
Anyway, everyone thought it looked great "in the flesh" and were pleasantly surprised after they initially suspected that they may dislike it.
I'll post some pics as soon as we get them back.

Yeah, i begrudgingly have to agree to a point... Was at a wedding a few weekends ago where this was the chosen tartan. Have to admit it wasn't until my gf pointed it out to me that i actually noticed the saltire.
But just for the record, she thought it looked pretty tasteless too.
Congrats btw John.
