I still dont know why all the Xbox crew never invested any time in 'real' sims like LFS or GTR2000. The SN LFS server was always empty and that was a great game with sh*t hot physics that only cost £12. I'd really like to know why this is. Is it that PC sims are just TOO realistic, do they require TOO powerful a PC, are they TOO geeky, do they require TOO much time to learn, do decent PC wheels cost TOO much, or is it just that the Xbox's pick up and play makes it easier to get into?
I can echo what Dream Weaver said about TOCA on the PC, it was a really bad joke and was completely and utterly slated for its crap physics. I tried the demo and uninstalled it after a couple of laps. I'm just wondering what you all consider to be 'good' when you are talking about game physics.
The reason I'm asking all this is that I already have a few good whiz bang driving titles for the Xbox and I dont really want to fork out for something that will **** me off in the physics and handling department, especially when its seems to be coming across as a 'real' racing game compared to the arcady nature of something like PGR2.
BTW I really like the Xbox and love the pick up and play nature of PGR2, and Burnout etc, especially just for a bit of drunken fun, but for real racing I just cant fault the PC sims with a decent wheel.

Jye, rent it or buy it from Game (you can return it in 10 days if it's sh1te).
I've played the demo on both the PC and the Xbox and I do prefer playing it on the Xbox, it seems to suit it better.

Yeah I guess I could do that Neanderthal, just wondering what the SN concensus is regarding the physics tbo. I just hate driving games that seem to steer the car round the middle

Seems ok to me, although granted it's not quite a true simulation, I think the only compliant would be regarding the acceleration physics, braking and cornering etc seem quite good though. Best thing is to try it and see for yourself!

One of the worst offenders for the car steering round the middle is the Colin McRae series, especially CMR3. To be honest I didn't notice TOCA2 feeling like this. It's certainly no simulation like LFS or GTR2000 <-- brilliant game btw!

The first Rallys were atrocious, I'm now at the point where I have to choose between the UK rally stages or more Truck racing. Has anyone completed the UK stages and were they as bad as the first set?

Richard Burns Rally must be out soon? is meant to be the 'closest' yet to a rally simulator, although I've seen a rooking demo of it and it didn't exactly look the business, and even though they were touting it as a sim, they only showed the traditional arcade above the car view?
