errrr i take it you did read ALL my post tiggers including my support for the very points you have just made (yet again).
"The first words out of most of the male UK population on meeting someone new is 'Who do you support?' usually delivered in that dull monotonic football thug voice."
Not something i would ever do in fact i meet many reps who try this as a pathetic attempt to curry favour but i dont think i would call any of them dull boring monotonic thugs
No I am not a motor racing "expert" and do not mean to denegrate it at all
My point being that motor sport doesnt harbour utopian sporting demi gods of extreme fitness any more than football does
oh i forgot to add "Dull montonic" ???? who does Nigel Mansell support then

Where are you footie haters getting all this "football is in your face" from?
When I was back in the UK, I hardly every saw any footie on the TV. Then again, I didn't have cable or satellite TV. I also chose a non-tabloid newspaper to read everyday.
It does really naff me off the whole drama queen rubbish that goes on - the continental players seem to be the worst. Some players are so bad, I'm surprised there isn't a "Best Footballer" category at the Oscars. I would like to see, as mentioned earlier, an official review the match afterwards and hand out fines, suspensions etc for cheating. The more important the match - the higher the fine and longer any suspension.
For the record I enjoy motorsports and football, in that order.

Said it already to n one, who has failed spectacularly to respond, saying it again now, it was clear from the outset that this thread was going to be about football, if you don't like football, why even bother reading any of this? Do you watch the Premiership just to complain about the fact that it's about football?
