I'll be honest.

I told them of the error at one of their branches - I was told to go for it by the salesman!

Have done, but bet I don't get the wheels.

Anyone got any news yet, good or bad, if the money has been taken does that not mean that a contract of some sort has been made?

Just checked my CC balance and the petrol I put in last night has gone through but as yet nothing about the wheels, so it's safe to say it's not done automatically.

I'm expecting an e-mail canceling my order soon.

I've just checked mine and £158 was taken as payment for the wheels.

Nothing as yet cancelling the order.

ahh... mine came through at 17.05 but no payment is showing as been taken on my CC statement on-line.

If they have billed you then I'm sure they have agreed to the price and should honour it. I'd say you have a bargin mate!

If they have taken the money and have them in stock then surely they could be on shakey ground?

Lying barstewards - apparently an order placed from a store is different to an order placed on the web so they can't fullfil it.

I'm amazed at their crap customer service though - I would have come clean, admitted a mistake and explain that under the T&C's they were not obliged to complete the order (all wrapped up in a big apology).

I suggest everyone who ordered and paid calls them aand bugs them about it.

There is no way we will get the wheels as the T&C's mean they can cancel at any time but I'd like to hassle them anyway!

Forgot to ask their name - some youngish sounding lad answered the phone and then transferred me to a woman.

the reply I got on the reason for the refund

"Thank you for your recent on-line order. I regret to inform you that the wheels that you ordered are temporarily unavailable. As a result I have refunded your payment in full.

Please accept our apologies in this matter.

Kind Regards

C'mon guys - give the company a break. Put yourself in their shoes.....you know what you did was morally wrong if it worked, and obviously they're going to try and prevent themselves from losing £500 or whatever on every sale. Multiply that by 200 potential sales, and they're looking at a loss of potentially £100k. That would wipe out their profit for a while....

All this talk of solicitors - ROTFLMAO - you know the T&Cs mean they can get out of the sale....so why threaten them?
