/ engage two pennth mode

I had a WR1 on order, and cancelled it.

I like the WR1, it’s a great colour (IMO) it’s got nice toys, will go like stink and I’m sure that the WR1 owners will be delighted with them. (I’ll not mention the stickers) )

I have mentioned in a couple of posts that I took advice from other when making the decision regarding my choice of car; this is not because I’m easily swayed, but because I don’t know much about cars. This is not a weakness, I often ask the advice of others when I don’t know a lot about something.

My reasons for opting not to get the WR1 are my own, but it’s still a fantastic car.

All those who berate others for getting a relatively unique car need to ‘have a word with yourselves’ I accept that you are only expressing your opinion, to which each of us is entitled, but we have a couple of things in civil society known as discretion and diplomacy.

If you want to sit in the pub and tell your mates that you think that the WR1 is a POS, do it.
If you want to go to work and tell the chap next to you that you think that WR1 is a POS feel free.
But I question if there is anything to be gained from doing so on here.

/ disengaged two pennth mode

/climb into flame proof suit…….

1) arguement? Sorry I not know what that means. Is it a French word? Or do you mean argument?

2) I haven't put it down so much as warn against people buying one then moaning in 6 months time when they try to p/x against Subarus lastest 'must have' car. Seen it all before with P1s, people buy one at full price then blame everyone but themselves when they find they have lost 10k in less than a year.

3) Don't know your personal reasons for changing your username, but I suspect a few that have have done so for added pose value I didn't change my name once in the 3 Imprezas I have owned.

only joined since ordering my Wr1.
Have owned sccobs before but just never decided to join scoobynet..is that ok?

And another point as usual you have to point out a typing error and make people look like they are total idiots and can't spell...

Wink

Just my thoughts!

I owned an RB5 WRSport for a year, but unfortunately wrote it off in an accident.
I then went and bought my current P1 with the Insurance payout + a " little " extra!
I could have bought the P1 to start with, but chose the RB5 because i liked the look of the car and loved the colour. Its interior IMO is far better looking than the P1, the blue alcantara sets it all off nicely, compared to the dull grey of the P1!
I bought the P1 because i could and thought it was the next gradual step. I love the car to bits and have spent far too much money getting the car to how i want it to be, which is why i aint going to go and get a WR1.
I think it looks good, and it obviously is going to be a monster to drive, so to all who are having one, enjoy!

Mikey

Ps
Looking forward to meeting one on the open roads!!!!

Exclamation

I don't remember many complaints about the RB5 at all, especially if you got the WR Sport Variant - The solid rear bulkhead also differentiated it from the UK Imprezas and the car came with lots of equipment that the standard Turbos didn't get till a year later! The colour is one of the best that the Impreza has been available in for the UK - and I know the 'Mid Gray' Import quivalent is very popular too.

As for the P1, most of the complaints about this model came from the owners themselves, due to late delivery, shoddy paintwork and the extension of the run to 1000 instead of the original 500 - and hence when IM struggled to sell these at the end of their run and started reducing prices, existing owners got rather narked!

IMHO the WR1's colour leaves a lot to be desired, but each to his or her own

" RB5 is a standard imprezza with poor paint"

"Poor colour paint"

What a load of CR@p.

This should surely read I THINK IT IS a poor colour paint. I.e. it is ONLY your opinion and not a fact as you seem to state. I personally think the RB5 is a really cool distinctive colour and suits the car......but i remember that its only my opinion.
