1967 Shelby GT500 is one of my all time fav cars. Don't think I'd add NOS to one though

Just how rare as those and how much $$$'s would one cost?

That car never existed in that form back in the day. it is a modern body kit made for Gone in 60 Seconds the move. They look great, i know you can pick them up for about £50k

Yeah, I realise from the spec that it's been modified from the original '67 spec. So, you'd need to pay £50K for an original, std spec one?

I found a link to another that quote $110,000

For an Eleanor replica you can spend anything you like but i know you can get them for about £50k. £13k for a restored '67 fastback though.

In the original Gone in 60 secs, they used a GT350, which IMO was a far better motor than the latter 500, as it used a proper race derived 302 with an ally block, as opposed to the cast iron 427 boat anchor.
When the original movie was made 350's were ten a penny & cheap as chips, if memory serves, the number trashed during filming was well into double figures

At last, a proper car on SN! I nearly bought a '68 fastback before I bought the Scooby, I was doing too many miles to justify putting on an very tidy classic.

Can't tell from the piccie, but are those ARE 5 spokes or Cragars?

Ford can produce ars like that, do a search for the new Mustang, its almost a replica of the original and will sell like mad, also the Ford GT, if they can produce a credible modern Capri over here (i.e. Europe) they will sell a lot of them, the Capri has done its time in naff land (not with me I hasten toadd) and its ready for a re-mix.

You can get Mustangs really cheap. Starting at about 1k but they will not run and need lots of work. If you want a coupe rather thanfastback you can get running ones from about 5k upwards

The car in Blade (one of my fave films) is a Dodge Charger, but i wanted to make it look similar. I am so happy you noticed. Made my day!

True, I have just been told that i have the higher power version of the 351 engine. So it shuld be pusing 300bhp and 400 lbs per sq ft of torque. All through the rear wheels with no traction control and it weighs less than my od STI.

Oh what fun.

i shoudbe getting it this coming thursday!!!

Yeah, but thats for the 67-68 stang. not the 69. If you look at some of the earlier posts you will see others have tried to get me to put the kit on as well.

A mechanic that does work on my car has a Mercury Cougar finished in Orange .... He has just had another engine in it and claims it is a lazy 350HP as it is , without 'breathing' on it !!!!!

Your car looks lovely mate ...... And the right colour !!!!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... gorgeous....

I'm constantly looking at 20 something year old rear wheel drive V8's as a toy.

I always fancied something like a Trans-am, Corvette or Camaro IROC but this Mustang is the dogs danglies!

In fact, I'd trade both kidneys plus every Scoob I've ever owned for Eleanor!

Given the current £:$ rate, that link to Sandersons made interesting reading!

Man, I've GOT to do the american car thing one day, it just HAS to be done.

All the best mate
