STI 8 - A Bit Common ?
#32
I can't see what the bl00dy problem is? Common? So what if they are or not? The whole reason for you buying a car is it's ability and attraction. You'd be a very sad person not to buy an excellent car just because you see a lot of them. I've got a MY03 STI PPP and I love it to bits. BTW...New Agers don't wave?...that's a load of rubbish too. I scooby wave all the time...a lot of the time people just don't see the other scoob or they don't see them in time. Example: I drove past a black MY03 STI on the M25 and waved as I passed, I didn't think the guy saw me, but then 5 seconds later he drives behind me and gives a friendly flash and then I flashed him as I turned off the junction later and in return he flashed his hazard lights. In a scooby wave sense this was probably overkill.
But back to the point...just drive what you desire not drive whatever depending on peer pressure!

Where are they all?
Come and live in Japan, I have just driven 1500 kilometers on japanese express ways and saw only one. I am about to buy one so at least here will be individual. The city where I live (Misawa) is completely devoid of them.
According to the Japanese equivalent of Autotrader, (Goo), only 7460 are to be made. So unless they all arrive in Yorkshire your not going to feel too ordinary.

But how common are they ???!!!! I live in Harrogate, not a massive town, and ok it is quite an affluent area, but there must be at least a dozen floating about
I suppose this says a lot for the car, but IMHO I wouldn't have one now (was seriously interested in getting one) I now percieve this car as "common" (In Harrogate anyway) I'm off for a car with a bit of individuality, something you don't see everyday...
...I'm just not sure what yet
Just my 2p worth...
